2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Wasserman from BR has Dick at 7 on the latest update to his mock draft. If IND really wants him they should just trade down to 9 with us and pick up an extra asset.

They're taking Dick seriously. The more confident everyone is that WAS is taking Black, the more likely that IND trades back to 9. The question is whether the Jazz still care about trading up to 7.

Washington waited too long to trade Beal, they should have traded him before the new contract. That is why the Jazz were so smart to trade Rudy and even DM when they did. They got several first round picks and some young players while Washington is getting just a bunch of second round picks and a washed up CP3. Now you understand why some franchises suck every year. As far as the draft goes, they need help in so many places it is hard to predict who they will pick.
Washington got screwed so hard. What a terrible return for their de facto franchise player. Holy crap. Old Chris Paul on an expiring contract, Landry Shamet, 2nd round picks and pick swaps? Ouch!

Just a reminder. . .

Rudy Gobert - 3 unprotected 1st round picks, 1 top 5 protected pick, 2 pick swaps, Walker Kessler, THT (via Beverley) and about half of the Lakers top 4 protected pick (via Beasley/Vando).

Donovan Mitchell - 3 unprotected picks, a pick swap, Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton and Ochai Agbaji.

Jazz will have 3 picks this year (including two top 16 picks) to jump start their rebuild. Wizards have to tear it down AND they will have Jack crap for assets to do that. Glad we’re not the Wizards right now.

If the Wizards take Black, the Jazz should bring Delon back home. Idc about timeline or whatever….Delon is awesome and I have always wanted to see him in a Jazz uniform.
