What's new

Official 2023 draft night thread!

Nuggets killing it, BTW. Pickett's funky inside-out game and Strawther's rock solid basics are good bets.

I guess I will wait and see but I give an 9 for Hendrick, George 6.5 and Brice 5 out of 10. I was hoping for more size and a passer.

God, the Magic really just DGAF about shooting except that one time earlier tonight.

AJJ would've been a killer fit in Denver. Hell, I would've been happy with him.

They needed perimeter defenders. We've needed perimeter defenders forever.
Taylor defends on the perimeter and interior… Lauri does fine too. I think you just take the best talent available at 28 not look at need. I would have taken like 5-6 other dudes but I get the pick. Brice was crazy productive and efficient. Fat is potential in disguise.

We are likely flipping some pieces like JC for better defenders. I would not slot in Ochai or George as starters just yet. I would bet only one of the guys we selected tonight becomes a starter next year and only one other is a rotation piece. I think we did well tonight. Had chances at a home run but George is a high upside dude… train him as a pg though so he’s in that mindset…

Damn I wish we would trade back in for Sidy. I don't understand why teams aren't valuing his skillset.

Ochai has been declared a building block, I would bet he's a day 1 starter

I doubt it. Outside of Lauri and Kessler, Keyonte has the most All Star potential on the team, imo. He's a guy who could average 20 ppg.
We'll see. I think he's a little boom or bust.

Was watching JHS high school highlights over the weekend. He really does have an advanced floater game at such a young age. He was really growing on me.

Wonder if the Jazz liked Bufkin or Keyonte more.
No doubt Bufkin imo… but… George could develop and end up looking similar to Bufkin maybe. Kobe had a rough freshman year.
