2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Man, it's infuriating the Jazz picked right behind the elite talent of the draft.

**** bum *** Whitmore and his trash interviews. Him being poorly regarded really screwed Utah over. We could have had Ausar, Black, Walker, or Bilal if Whitmore goes ahead of the Jazz

He was also rumored to be struggling to finish the workout and vaping.

Couple of shoutouts for some guys:

@Saint Cy of JFC
@Ferguson_Mellochill
@KqWIN

You guys were right about Bilal. An NBA team took him in the top-7. You guys saw the potential that I didn’t and it was proven tonight. No hard feelings for anyone and your insight is greatly appreciated in these draft threads.

@Handlogten's Heros
@Bodhi

The two guys who were in on Hendricks early before others saw top-10 potential. Super stoked he was our pick tonight and can’t wait to see him play. You guys are huge contributors in the draft thread as well.

You guys are huge contributors to the draft thread and I really appreciate your posts.

@Bawse Dawg
@whatthe

It was nice to see some new posters in the draft thread and I hope you guys make it a more common thing in the future.

I am sure I’m missing a couple guys and I apologize. It has been an absolute blast discussing prospects with all of you and at the end of the day we are all Jazz fans. I know there have been some arguments and there is no hard feelings from me I appreciate all of you.

We crushed this draft and I can’t wait to watch our new guys in SL!

Post of the thread

Andy, Sarah, and Eric were all super high on Hendricks.

I

The thing i read (i think its in the 2023 draft night thread) said he was #5 on the jazz big board not their own big board.

Lakers killed the draft yet again.

Adding JHS and Lewis at the spots they did were massive steals. JHS/Reaves is a lethally smart backcourt and Lewis ideal wing size

The Wolves picking up Leonard Miller was an elite move with Naz Reid likely out. Immediate contributor

Will be interesting to see if Wendell Moore plays this season or Minott. High on all 3 of the Wolves young dudes

It's a little crazy to me that the Jazz reportedly had Keyonte at 10, which would likely have him above Wallace, Bufkin, and JHS. They seem to acknowledge the need for developing a point guard, but rated the guy with seemingly the least amount of point guard skills of those guards.

Because all their PGs are tall af
Good point. Also, Cason does just fine off ball, too.

It’s a big investment to trade up your first pick on who will have a really tough time ever cracking into a starting role. Then again, that size might allow them to roll out legit 3-guard lineups and I gotta imagine that’s what might be guiding their thinking. Which… I like it.

He was the highest rated HS player of that group (Ainge places huge value on that) and has the best projectable shot
