What's new

2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

Idk where Utah fits with all this, but they can get in on these trades. Maybe there is a move to get off Sexton in there

What was the tweet?
I'm not sure what that one said specifically but today he said:
• Harden wanted out of Philly (before anyone else reported it), mentioned Phoenix and LAC as landing spots.
• The Wolves are likely going to trade KAT.
• Dame is 50-50 on staying or asking to be traded.
• Something big is going to happen with Kyrie in the next day or so.

Makes him restricted
Still isn't great... and they could have worked an extension for the average value NBA thing... its like 4/73M. He gets paid early now which means cuts need to come elsewhere. Then if they do the Reaves thing it could have a huge spike to them in one year.

They may have already agreed and Herb will play along since he can get his money now. Feels like that is the case.

But not the space. Lauri's extension is going to hurt.
Which is one of the reasons why the renegotiate and extend is so important: you can save money on the backend of the deal to accommodate more talent. This will be more important than ever in this new CBA.

I don’t really see it with Quickley but if @Handlogten's Heros ans @KqWIN are both over the moon for him then I take that as gospel.
I wouldn't say I'm over the moon... just think there is more there to unlock and he could be a really good pg for us on both sides of the ball. His on/off stuff is bonkers.

I think @KqWIN is likely several magnitudes higher on him than I am... but I like him.
