What's new

Summer League Thread

I already did a deep dive analysis of international players in the draft thread. Something like 1 out of 20 total drafted outside the top-6 in the last 6 drafts exceeded their draft position. Not great.
Deep dive = looking at box scores and committing them to halfway memory and later making up random ones when you forgot about them.

I feel like the Jazz were pretty sure that they would get George at 16. They have telegraphed that pretty well post draft.

Replace everything that says "French" with "plays in the French league". Who cares, it's the same meaning in this conversation. If can't distinguish a player from the league, it's just plain lazy. Wemby and Bilal being teammates is the most obvious example of this. You've got to be able to evaluate a player as an individual.
I guess I’m a xenophobe against America cuz I think OTE is LOL.

Bilal needs a real good development system which ISNT the Wizards. He will be available in about 2 to 3 years as a reclamation project. Like I said before he is half the time Einstein on some plays, and the other times he is having seizures when he has the ball.

What makes the Wizards a bad development team? Most of their picks have retained good value (outside of Johnny).

I'm pretty high on the Wizards future of being a competent team. They got new management and they are objectively making the right moves after previous management put them in a really bad position.

Literally a team traded up to 7. And they traded picks not players. Washington could have selected Walker and Indiana would have had no recourse.
Brother cmon now. That's not how that worked and you know that.

The teams draft the player first then trade them to the team. They dont make the trade then make the selection. You cant just agree to a trade and get snaked out by the opposing team.

I would say a good development system has a player exceed their value. But yeah it is kind of objective and they do have a new team so they may not be bad. My apologies for overstating a gut feeling as a fact.

Rui was just traded for seconds and looked like an entirely different player on a new team. Try harder next time.

Yes because we know doing a search always brings up pasts posts.
I mean if you are going to call someone out for something at least provide some receipts. I gave you the receipt of what we thought when the trade went down and we basically had the exact same reaction.
