I think its not erratic, but quite the opposite. Its the classic grade school math logic. Just add more talent with different position labels and you always get better. F*** stuff like fit, chemistry and strategies. When the trio of Durant, Beal & Booker flames out, some of those pick swaps are going to be worth solid gold. Their team building strategy seems so erratic that it feels like it’s bound to fail.
Brooklyn? If Embiid goes to New York and Dame goes to Miami, then I wonder where Donovan would sign when it comes time. I'd imagine NYK/Miami would be off the table if those two trades happen.
Would that make it the Lakers?
Yeah, seems like Brooklyn or the LA'sBrooklyn?
That was the rumor flying around a few weeks ago was that Brooklyn was not participating in the Dame sweepstakes cuz they saving their firepower for Don.Brooklyn?

Isnt Cuban still on a short leash by Luka or has that changed? I was under the impression the trade request is coming if Mavs fall short this upcoming season. That was the rumor flying around a few weeks ago was that Brooklyn was not participating in the Dame sweepstakes cuz they saving their firepower for Don.
We have a lot of superstar trade asset stuff... but the next round of "stars" to ask out (or be thrown to market) aren't super intriguing to me. Embiid, KAT, Don, Lavine are the next up...
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was the plan for both Boston and Utah. He’s worth a LOT more in return now that he’s signed that contract instead of being on a one year deal.Okay, good. Now let’s trade for him next offseason.
Please tell me you are joking. Brown is a really good player but definitely not a superstar and just signed for superstar money.I honestly wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was the plan for both Boston and Utah. Plus, he got the full supermax - which is more than he would’ve gotten in Utah (I think - could be wrong on that one.) Obviously, Utah will have to outbid to get him, but sure DA likes the idea of using some of his assets to get a player like Jaylen Brown.
Everyone is overpaid. Right now he signed for superstar money, but every year these goalposts move and there are going to be more and more “non-superstars” getting this superstar money. Please tell me you are joking. I'm not a big Brown guy, but he averaged 26-7-4 as a 26 year old. If he's not a super star he's about as close as you can get without being one and he has room for improvementPlease tell me you are joking. Scoring numbers in the current NBA are inflated. He is also a solid defender but not a great defender. With Lauri we have another couple years to figure him out but I think his upside is higher than Brown.2nd Team All-NBA

Great on the defensive end. Not sure what more you are expecting from him but he’s definitely worth the money. Are you insinuating we shouldn’t max Lauri when the time comes?
