They have been talking with the Hawks about getting him back. The Spurs traded him in part becasue they did not buy him buying into things.

I’d personally rather see him take minutes from Fontecchio. In my ideal world he’s getting 20 of Collins’ minutes.
If you think he will negatively impact Sexton then you don’t do it. It would not make it harder for Keyonte to get minutes if Clarkson was included in the deal. At that point Dunn likely loses minutes.Bottom line I dont see any reason to make a trade unless it's a perfect move.
I dont think Dejounte Murray is a perfect move.
He's going to negatively impact Sexton. He's going to make it harder to get Keyonte George minutes. And he just not all that good.
If you take Capela’s contract you subtract the prospect and give them a good first.![]()
2024 NBA Trade Board 2.0: The top 40 names on the market right now
With the NBA trade deadline less than a month away, talks have begun to heat up. Here's our evolving list of the top players on the market.theathletic.com
Vecenie has Murray being worth a first and a prospect. So for the jazz that would be Hendricks or Keyonte. I dont think Brice would qualify, but if a team was high on him pre-draft, maybe.
Brogdon is worth a late first.
I'd much rather pay the Brogdon price than Murray price.
Why mess with the sauce is my thoughts. The more I look at it the more I'm inclined to do a KO/JC more minor deal than something bigger. Things can change before now and the deadline with injuries or whatever but we don't need to force anything. Even though Dunn/KO/Simone are on expiring deals they all may be bargains on their next deal and I think all would likely stay if the money is equal.
The trade I'm still eyeballing is JC to NY for Fournier and picks... and then I'm gonna laugh my *** off when Hardy revives Fournier. We only want cast offs lol.
How is Tyus a fit with Sexton? That’s a really small backcourt. Also, FWIW, Vecenie only listd Jazz as fits for Brogdon and Tyus.
Did not link us as a fit with Murray.
You only do a bigger deal if you feel like you’re adding to the sauce. Why mess with the sauce is my thoughts.
Jazz should just act as a 3rd team to help bigger deals get done where we can get some scraps off the table.
I'd probably agree at this point. Dunn's been good enough to not really desire Tyus all that much. How is Tyus a fit with Sexton? That’s a really small backcourt.
Oh is that all?Jazz need a wing who can facilitate, defend and make some shots. We're leaning heavily on Olynyk to do that stuff, but we're probably going to lose him at some point.
The guys we really want... likely aren't for sale unfortunately. The guys that are widely available will definitely have flaws. Maybe DA just tries to find a sucker and then stands pat.I'm not giving up a FRP or assets for Murray or even Tyus. Neither one can defend SG's.
Now if ATL were to listen to offers for Jalen Johnson I'd be standing in line offering a young prospect such as Tay and a FRP. JJ is a guy who can potentially move the needle for this team.
Oh is that all?
