Your dislike of Castle is out of control. Also Dunn is a free agent and 30 so I don't see the point in bringing him up at all. We are arguably the worst defensive team in the league and Castle would most definitely see rotation minutes immediately. We've already got Kris Dunn to do that stuff. Castle is 4/18 (22%) on 3PAs in the tournament. He's not going to get on the floor til he fixes that.
I do not think you want to argue that we don't need any more help on defense.

Sure his shooting is a concern, but dismissing his defense because "We've already got Kris Dunn to do that stuff", is not a valid take for the worst defensive team in the league.Jazz want size, length and defense, sure, but they aren't going to draft a non-shooter inside the top 10. They just gift-wrapped Nickeil and Ochai because those guys weren't consistent enough from the perimeter.
I am coming away from this game less impressed with both Clingan and Edey. Is that bad?
That’s a kid that wants to win… bet on him.Castle just has a lot of what the Jazz need. Add in the mentality and attitude and it's very easy to like him. Any fanbase is always happy to get a guy like that on their team, dissenting opinions aside.
Believing you can lock him in a gym and get him average at shooting seems like a much better bet than some other guys in this draft. Nothing looks broken mechanics wise to me.
Castle has bust potential directly related to his inability in and lack of confidence in his shot. It would not be surprising if he just never can develops a shot - more than half off all players never do. I don't know how you can predict that. I would take him outside the top ten.

I watched Castle shut down a red hot Terrence Shannon Jr, **** out of here trying to diminish the D. It translates to the NBA.
The Jazz were a bottom 5 defense well before they started tanking. The Jazz are currently tanking on purpose, and any team that plays multiple rookies is going to be bad defensively.

Cody Williams attempted fewer 3 pointers a game than Castle.
He made more too. 0.7 to 0.6 per game (1.7/2.2 attempts respectively)
That is very little to have any major takeaways.
