Off-Season Rumblings

I'm not sure we are willing to move Walker yet. If we do I think it will be a deal we do really well in... so I'd say 9 for Walker straight up... maybe we throw in one of the later picks. We can then consolidate the 29/32 picks to move up.
Does 9 + 10 get you 1 in this draft?

I feel like all signs point to the FO being low on him. I don’t necessarily agree, but if I had to speculate I’d say they are ready to trade him. Another thing we can do for MEM in this trade is take on the salaries of ZWilliams and/or Rose. They will be right up against the tax so removing those smallish salaries can have big implications on their ability to retain Kennard or use their mid level.

I’m trying to find out what a lower price means. Salary matching?
I think they thought they would get picks or something. I think it is now in the salary dump territory. I'm telling you if Bulls are willing to do JCx2 for LaVine that DA will stare at it long enough to do it.

And if the Jazz do it, I think they trade the 10 for the 11 and still take Topic and get 2 future 2nd rounders. This saves the Bulls some face to say they got something additional in the trade. And we put less pressure on Topic to play and give him a year to rest and Zach a year to rest. The perfect tank move. Cause we rev up the next year when the Jazz first swap becomes active and we got our 2025 pick in the fold.

And then trader Dan could move 11 for 13 for 2 more second round picks from SAC to select the player he really wants (Walter). 5 2nd picks equal mid pick value so with these two moves he gets nearly the value of a first, he moves Collins, gets a resting Zach (good for a one year tank), and gets the guard he wants.

I just don't understand the people butthurt at Collins for 25 that are ready to swallow Lavine at 40. . .

Honestly, people will be lucky to pull a long term rotation player out of this draft, let alone a star. I'm not giving up any more good assets to move around in it.

Late, but no way this works out well long term. If we win a playoff series, in the moment I won't give af. But if any team can't afford to skip steps in the rebuild, it's Utah. Giving up 10 and 2932 in this draft is nbd but if we go big on a player like Brandon Ingram or something, blah...
Opposite. They are a team who can skip. That's what assets are for
