OK, so the Summer League is coming. And, besides the rookies we have a lot of young players who we want to take a next step. So, who worked hard since the end of the season and who will be essentially the same player? Let's try to predict it and vote who will be looking the most improved and who will be the same player (or worse!).

Everybody has two votes to cast: one for the MOST improved player and one for the LEAST improved. I did not include Bazley or Lewis since nobody really cares about them and sees them as a significant part of the Jazz future. So, lets talk about our young players taking the next step.

These reps are so important for second year players who had limited opportunities as rookies. Hendricks and Sensabaugh. I voted Hendricks.

I think that Hendricks will be the most improved: he was the one steadily getting better throughout the last season and he really tried to expand his offensive game in the very last games. And the least improved will be Brice: he just looked to me so average in everything basketball and I do not expect a big improvement from him like ever. Brice will certainly get better around the edges but I think he will be just your typical mediocre bench wing in the end.

If Kessler doesn't improve from last season, and Flip just kills it. I could easily see us shipping him out.

Hendricks has more to show as he probably gets to do things he wont do with the main team. I would say Kessler probbaly shows the least in almost any case just due to his position and playstyle, except if they suddenly want him to take lots of 3s or something silly.

I'll be looking to see if they run sets where Kessler plays the short roll. He needs reps.

Our Summer League team is going to crush the competition. I think Bryce is going to be most improved - I'm hoping he's in better shape; the dude started last season behind the 8-ball with his injury. Due to his injury and late start I feel his shooting was worse than it should have been; he showed he can pop shots in college.

I think least improved will be Keyonte. I expect him to be better but he did show us his insane scoring ability last season and so we already know what he's capable of. And on the defensive end I don't see him showing up and being noticeably improved on defense.

By the end of SL, there'll be a contingent here on jazzfanz that'll be posting about how many all-star appearances Collier will have in his career.
His court vision is what makes me think he may become something special.

I don't trust Kessler's head; I voted him to be the least improved. I hope Caithlin take his spot.... oops sorry... I mean, you know...
Brice will thrive; he's cocky and make shots.

I can envision an alternate reality where all the rooks outshine the sophomores. An indication of how well we drafted this year and Psychologically it’s easier being the underdog.

I expect Brice to have the best SL out of these guys compared to his current status. I'm not sure if he'll be given a role that's more realistic to what he can do in the NBA or if they'll let him go wild, but either way he should shine. SL isn't the setting for a player like TH to shine, and Keyonte+Lofton+Kessler should already be expected to dominate.
