But they really should. The Warriors are not going to trade Steph Curry lol

No what they should do is give us every tradable pick and swap plus young players for Lauri. But they really should.
He would probably be closer to 30 minutes which I'm okay with. I also think he could build some value. Unlike Collins every team can use a versatile wing that can switch defensively and provide some offensive punch. Worst case scenario he doesn't provide much impact but is a valuable salary to get to the salary floor.Would suck watching Wiggins play 35 minutes per night though.
At least we would have got rid of Clarkson though.

Its weird how history impacts judgement.Yeah. If I was a Warriors fan I'd take that option over being ****ed til 2031
What will that do for them? They don’t have a championship team and just leaves them destitute with no way to rebuild other than the 2-3 picks they’ll receive for Lauri who they will have to trade in two or three years. No what they should do is give us every tradable pick and swap plus young players for Lauri.
Ah so they would rather waste his last years just trying to be a play in team. Ya that makes way more sense. Steph gets to play on a crappy team with no chance at a title during his last few years while the warriors and their fans also get to hurt their own inevitable rebuild. The Warriors are not going to trade Steph Curry lol
I wasn’t talking about basketball reasons. I think it’s a business decision. Despite his age and injury history, Steph Curry is one of the most bankable stars in sports. The Dubs won’t move him until he’s no longer making them money. As long as they have him, the fans have hope. I won’t be surprised to see him spend his entire career with the Warriors.Good point. Problem is that taking on that kind of salary might mean we get a vet who can play and now the young guys ride pine and we get a worse pick.

Think the smart move for them is what they are currently doing. Spend as much money as possible without spending future assets. Give Steph a last hurrah then trade him the following year out of nowhere and move onIts weird how history impacts judgement.
Best option for Steph to win another ring would be to try and do it elsewhere.
Best option for the FO would be to rip of the bandaid. They would probably even get a nice haul for trading their franchise GOAT as he was still great last season.
Hell even many of the fans probably think the run is over and would choose to rather rip off the bandaid than sacrifice their future.
Yet someone there (maybe Steph, maybe the owner, maybe the FO) clings on to the idea that Steph must retire as a Warrior, and that they must try to win one more title even though they dont really got the supporting cast to do it, or assets to build a new supporting cast.

Yes, sounds great for us. That’s why they should do it.What will that do for them? They don’t have a championship team and just leaves them destitute with no way to rebuild other than the 2-3 picks they’ll receive for Lauri who they will have to trade in two or three years.
No they are going to go all-in for Lauri to make a push at being a contender in Steph’s and Draymond’s last years.Ah so they would rather waste his last years just trying to be a play in team. Ya that makes way more sense. Steph gets to play on a crappy team with no chance at a title during his last few years while the warriors and their fans also get to hurt their own inevitable rebuild.
Karl Malone went to the Lakers. Lillard went to the bucks. Those were both big time loyal all time franchise players. Their teams weren't in nearly the salary cap hell that the warriors are in though I guess.

Oh yaYes, sounds great for us. That’s why they should do it.
Thank God you're not the GM.Well that was a letdown. I saw that and was super excited for a couple seconds.
Eh... it kind of makes sense that they would wait a day or two... filling out the roster for the Warriors and we had the rookie press conference. The Warriors were the main team out doing stuff... having Lauri slow or hold up the market could also be us doing them a solid to make sure we get the deal we want. After yesterdays moves I think they are more likely to do something of a consolidation/slight money saving deal... whether its with us or someone else.By the time this stuff gets leaked, a lot of times the discussion is already dead. It feels like this could be one of those times.

If Sip was the GM you'd tank every year and after 3 years you'd trade the players you tanked for cuz they are now too good to tank.Thank God you're not the GM.
If you are referring to the Lauri stuff then wasn't it just yesterday when Tony Jones confirmed the Jazz have at least 2 offers on the table they are seriously considering?By the time this stuff gets leaked, a lot of times the discussion is already dead. It feels like this could be one of those times.
The trade ultimately has to get signed off by Ryan as well. So there are more layers to this than we think. The reporting for the Jazz Lauri makes me think that the moment an offer happens they love, they will say yes on the spot. It has to blow them away. I doubt anything currently on the table is acceptable
