Also it's kind of funny people get butthurt over a Kawhi-centric pod but we also simultaneously praise Danny Ainge for his due diligence in efforts to canvas the league for moves.

The whole idea is that you have yourself in all conversations because you never know when you might be able to get value on a trade and when you might be able to string several value trades together and suddenly you have your team

Yeah, you’re just missing the entire point. It’s the fact that Kawhi is likely one of the least attainable stars at the moment for a multitude of reasons.

Donnt think I missed the point when that is literally the point. No stone unturned no matter how unlikely it may appear in the surface is the point.

And yes, at some point these teams who have dealt away their draft control will have to make hard decisions about whether or not to trade their aging stars to get value or just be ok with riding them out for play in appearances just because you are scared about getting embarrassed if you lose a high draft pick

Clippers GM: Hey Danny, we haven’t figured out a place to re-route Westbrook yet.

Danny: That’s fine, I have a different idea. Kawhi Leonard. Is he available?

Clippers GM: Well you know we just re-signed Harden and extended Kawhi. We have a new stadium coming out. We also don’t own any of our draft until 2029.

Danny: I understand that but you could have some of our picks in the future?

Clippers GM: So we’re going to be in the lottery without control over any of our picks for the next 5-6 years?

Danny: No stone left unturned!

Well given Kawhis injury history and Hardens history of being a diva, you might have Kawhi out for over half the remaining games left on his contract and Hardens might quit on your team. So you might want to reconsider your fate while your team flounders for play in positioning IF they stay healthy. You are still located in LA so maybe you should move your eye towards cap space and resetting.

See if you use your brain a bit you can create angles where these discussions are interesting, worth having, and worth monitoring over time.

I didn't get butthurt... just said slow day since its pretty outlandish.

Very bad for the pick.
Depends on if he is in shape. Orlando Joe looked thick. Likely a minimum deal and should help them if healthy.

It probably doesn't have any meaningful impact on the pick either way. I don't think the quality of your 10th man adds or negates too many wins
This
It doesn't matter
