Olympics Thread

That was actually my friend standing next to the edge in the picture.
He actually flew to napal to climb Everest a few years back. (He didn't do the summit though. Just went up to about 20,000 feet)

I bet you've got friends who've trekked in Nepal, met with buddha what other hippie **** are you involved with Mr Zappa?

Giddey is the modern day John Stockton.

I think he’ll surprise some people next season if he starts for the Bulls.

High quality first half in CAN vs AUS.

Dyson Daniels may be underrated offensively. With the Pels he was often relegated to be an off-ball player but in this tourney even against Canadas great perimeter defenders he looks solid as Australias secondary ballhandler.

As good as Daniels is defensively he just cannot seem to figure out how to slow SGA.

Shouldnt have said this. Giddey went to the bench and Daniels took a bigger role and had two turnovers right away.

Canada lifted their intensity the boys took the punch and have started swinging back. Anyones game in the 4th, I think we look more connected as a team than them.

Once Patty retires Australia is going to have zero bucket getters.

During the week I read an article I think it may have been about Dyson Daniels younger brother who is highly rated and more of a pure scorer than his brother but the talk was they will emerge as the number one option on the national team. (for the life of me I cant remember who the article was about) In the next world cup we will basically rely on Giddey and Landale, think we'll start Giddey, Daniels, Green, Kay and Landale. Furphy has some promise, McVeigh can score, Exum is good off the bench. Rocco Zikarsky will likely be in the squad, add to that Tyrese Proctor from Duke and Roman Siulepa who is playing NBL this year.

After this Olympics their is going to be a big changing of the guard not only are Patty, Joe and Delly expected to retire I think the entire coaching staff will be turned over too. Goorjian has already indicated this will be his last Olympics and whoever they appoint will likely bring in their own team.
