Good.

I hope we are on the precipice of a new era of accountability and transparency. I hope that is Trump's actual legacy.
I fear, however, that twenty years from now when we ask our AI overlords for the keywords "Trump legacy" that this is what we're gonna get:

Federal indictment? That mayor must be a Republican.

Sorta. He was a Republican in the 90's and early 2000's. He changed his party affiliation but many still viewed him as a Republican who had pasted a 'D' next to his name on ballots to have a better chance to win in NYC.

I'm not saying he isn't corrupt as the day is long, but prosecuting Adams isn't quite a show of even handedness. It could be painted as an example of what happens to someone who fails the purity test.

See this is a bribe, doing something for someone else in-exchange for a benefit. Now if you can prove or the DOJ can prove the Supreme Court justices are doing the same thing, I will be 100% in agreement with you that a justice is corrupt. But until that happens I’m on the sideline, not interested in unsubstantial claims.

Witch hunt! Lawfare! Weaponized Biden DOJ!

If Adams were president, he’d be immune from prosecution. He could also claim that his corruption was merely him carrying out official presidential duties and thanks to the Republican Supreme Court, he could potentially escape prosecution even after his presidential term ends. Finally, he could pardon himself. Pretty cool this all powerful president concept republicans have invented for their Orange god king.

And if Adams were a Supreme Court justice, this would just be dismissed as normal behavior of Supreme Court justices. As we’ve seen with Alito and Thomas, taking bribes and open corruption just doesn’t matter apparently.

No idea why you are quoting me here.

Did I say something about the supreme Court receiving bribes? (I mean you can Google Clarence Thomas and bribes yourself but that wasn't anything I brought up)

Didn't mean to tag you.
To be fair, I tagged you earlier with my post about the weaponized justice system in relation to the Democratic mayor being charged and so far as I know you weren't one of the people ever saying that the justice system was weaponized. I meant to specify in that post that I wasn't referring to you but I realize that I never made that specification.

No worries

Republicans could always try winning elections by nominating good candidates and promoting a popular platform. That strategy seemed to work well back in the day. Winning people over with good leaders and ideas typically works in democracies. It’s been working amazing for Democrats since 2018! I’m definitely not tired from all of this winning.

When Kamala wins the popular vote, it will mean that the only times in the last 40 years republicans have won the popular vote for president has been in 1988 and 2004. Perhaps it’s time for republicans to dust off that 2012 autopsy and follow some of its guidelines?

The report also specifically states that there needs to be more inclusion. "We need to campaign among Hispanic, black, Asian, and gay Americans and demonstrate we care about them, too. We must recruit more candidates who come from minority communities. But it is not just tone that counts. Policy always matters."

Sally Bradshaw, a Florida GOP strategist and one of the project's co-chairs, said the party has been "continually marginalizing itself and unless changes are made it will be increasingly difficult for Republicans to win another presidential election in the near future."

"Public perception of our party is at record lows," Bradshaw said. "Young voters are increasingly rolling their eyes at what the party represents and many minorities think Republicans don't like them or don't want them in our country. When someone rolls their eyes at us they aren't likely to open their ears to us."

Huh. Weird. Wonder why those illegal brown vermin who eat dogs and cats and are poisoning the nation’s blood aren’t voting Republican? Why aren’t those demonic LGBTs voting red? Why don’t those females who need to shut up and be happy see that the GOP is best for them?

This is really weird. Creepy AF. Sounds like a rapist:

It is almost like over the last 200 plus years our two party system has existed because each party adjusts and adapts to the current political reality.

All the Republicans have to do is to adjust to the current reality and they're in the game. But they seem to want to drag us back so that they can "make America great again" in the image of an America that was not as good as the America we live in right now.
