My only fear is that he looks historically bad which means the likelihood he ever becomes anything is probably hella low

These are his first minutes in the big leagues. He's the youngest guy on the floor, and he's physically slight. He's going to need time to develop. On a normal team, he wouldn't even be playing real minutes yet.

I’ve been watching a lot of Thunder games (best in the west) and watching his brother a lot for game or athletic comparisons which seem to be nonexistent. It’s weird because they don’t really even look like brothers tbh. Maybe half brothers, I mean they’re both tall, it’s just one can ball and the other cannot.

So yeah, I guess I’m still in justification mode. I wanted Knecht, that was what most mocks projected. Dalton Knecht wouldn’t air ball b2b open threes and he wouldn’t be left open on purpose either. What in the hell are Hornacek and Terry getting paid for (they could drain some threes in their day)? Did I hear 20% fg % for the season? It’s vexing for fans that’s for sure.

But when you look at it objectively, you got a nineteen year old on a weight lifting and weight gaining regimen ostensibly. That could definitely affect your shooting ability. He doesn’t throw the ball away much. Zero turnovers in twenty minutes tonight. Mellow Chill might be on to something here.

When Jalen was Cody’s age he was averaging 11 ppg on 38% FG / 27% 3FG at a mid major college program

Fair enough, probably not enough to make the case for Jalen’s absolute superiority at that age though. I mean, unless of course youre saying that Cody should have stayed in school another year. I really kinda wish the hell he had - cause stat wise, it couldn’t look much worse.

Cody definitely should've stayed in school, dude was not ready for the league at all.

Damn. Cody shooting is all over the place. Its about the same recoil as some guys have on their 3/4 court heaves. Dude seriously needs to learn how to square up and shoot with rhythm instead of just throwing it up there.

Nuggets were not good and Malone looked like he pumped so much blood into his head watching his team that he must have blown some veins there. But they were never in any real trouble, as when your opponent is both the worst shooting team in the NBA that is also the most turnover prone team, you can blow them out even when you play bad.

Trade everyone. Build around Johnny Juzang.

Juzang and Flip are geniunely our two best young dudes

If Keyonte just sat out spacing the floor and waited for open looks, he'd knock a goodly percentage of them down.
Any catch and shoot on open 3's stat to go along with this comment?

I don't mind giving Eubanks and Collins extra minutes when they're playing well. Flip is still getting decent minutes which is fine.

Maybe the most depressing thing about this tank is that we don't even want to watch our top draft pick because his play will make us even more depressed.
Nah, most depressing thing about this tank is by far the injury to Hendricks

Cody was an incomprehensible one-and-done pick. He didn't show any signs of having Top 10 NBA level talent or physical ability at Colorado. He has some length for his theoretical position, along with name recognition... and that's it.

He was probably picked mostly because his brother is a good player who was kind of a late bloomer. That's an insane gamble to me at #10. Maybe you can justify it when you're some dynasty team that doesn't have to hit on every pick, but the Jazz needed someone who was much farther along.
