What's new

Game Thread Nov 16, 2024 08:00PM MT: Utah Jazz @ Sacramento Kings

Added to Calendar: 11-16-24

Close game, but that honestly feels like a 15 point loss given the level of competition.

What an amazing tank job from the half brain Jordan Clarkson.

Things were under control on third. Then JC decided it's his world we live in, and accompanied by Kings improved pressure on our guards it turned into an utter **** show. Its unacceptable how little Collins and Markkanen, and also Flip got involved the last eighteen minutes.

Can't wait enough to get rid of JC.

I hope Will Hardy burned that last time out for the purpose of guaranteeing a loss, because that's exactly what it did.

Lets the Kings intentionally foul and then game over. I laughed outloud when the play involved Sexton penetrating. So stupid.
It wasn't the play. The play broke down and that was Sexton just trying to do something

The Jazz lost because Trey Lyles, struggling all season from the 3-pt line, suddenly found the touch and became a sniper by going 5 of 7. Which is random as muck.

Are you insane? JC is the perfect tank commander. For 2 nights where he will make you win, expect 8 where he will make sure we did lose !

What's the deal with Flip's free throws? He is currently at 30% for the season.
The "deal" is that he can't shoot. Simple as that. I know it's hard to comprehend since he's tall, white and went to Duke, but it is what it is.

Flip is a talented passer and decent ballhandler for his size, plus he doesn't back down, but it remains to be seen if he's an NBA level scorer. If he gets there, he's a career starter in this league... if he doesn't, he's in trouble. He's not a rim protector, rim runner or an above average rebounder.

Flip is like Luke Walton. A little-bit-of-everything guy who needs to share the court with several great players who get all the defensive attention, allowing him to fill in the blanks and keep the ball moving in creative ways.

It was funny reading tank fans panic on this chat without realizing how decimated the Kings rotation was.

The fact that we lost this game is actually a massive W for the tank, as playing a mid team like Kings without 3 of their 5 best players and with us having rest advantage felt like a schedule W.
