LA Clippers Lob City vs. Utah Jazz Swat Lake City, Wed. 8:30 MT ESPN

cp3 is a friggin stud.

Had the Lakers obtained him they'd easily be cruising with the #1 record in the league.

Instead, he and Blake might become the most dominate force for the next decade.

wtf
i wish he went to the lakers
with cp3 kobe and who else would they be number 1?
bynnum and cp3 would go down and what do the lakers have?
no lamar no gasol.

nothing

It's easy to blame every little play in retrospect.

Two things I do want to blame:

The griffin and 1 foul--maul him at half court, you're not going to beat him one on one.

Free throw shooting. It's literally costing us games now.

That game was fun and frustrating to watch, had a definite playoff atmosphere, very intense game. As far as the Griffin flop, never should've come to that. We got out worked and couldn't make free throws.

Too much Chris Paul, not enough resistance on Blake, but it was a hard fought game. Disappointing result, can't be disappointed with the effort.

I wish the jazz get credit for their wins. Clippers are hot right now, but I don't understand the excessive love for minny and clips. Bandwagon fiesta, those laker fans have switched over. I question if there is a true clipper fan that suffered with them for the past decade?

I seriously wish the NBA would do what soccer did.

In soccer, flopping used to happen all the time. It was destroying the game. Then they put in a rule: If you flop, you get a yellow card, or is it a red card? I'm not sure. But it cut down the ridiculousness.

Basketball could and should do the same. I think players should get a suspension if they flop and there is no contact.
repped. Great idea. Griffin's flop was borderline imho, but this is a great idea.

edit: you must spread some reputation...I'll try to remeber to catch you later

Really, Chris Paul is a good player, but he doesn't go off like this very much.
The offense for the clips most of the game was multiple screens for Paul, and the jazz didn't defend it well

But the big difference was that Paul hit a lot of outside shots. Most of the time, when I see Paul play, he doesn't do that.

Yeah really. Clips are the new bandwagon team. Good for the fans who have been there, but most of their current fans are complete bandwagoners.

Seriously I won't follow the nba media for a few days jut not to see that gross LA love.

First order of business: PnR defense practice. Good news is we only have to watch how the Clippers did it. They strung out the ballhandler perfectly all night long with the bigs. The flip side to this is we were very poor recognizing the open big. The Clips practically double the ballhandler and our wings rarely saw the open man. The film will be very instructive on this.

Maybe we should just give Al random days off. He was a monster. Hate to think of what the game would have looked like if he didn't go.

Ya know, I don't mean to pile on Millsap, because he is great, but he wasn't good tonight. He did'nt play good D on Griff, and his offense was dormant.
Plus, he didn't rebound well either.

Maybe those 2 quick fouls took himi out of it.

Lakers, Mavs, Raptors and now Clippers. The Jazz can take her out, they can wine & dine, they can charm her, but they just can't get past 3rd-base.

On the positive tip, the Kanter/Favors frontcourt looked like a real frontcourt in the 1st/2nd. Then they regressed to what they've been in the 2nd. Like the fact Ty went with the quick hook in the 4th. Ty's subs all night were very good. My one complaint is sticking with Howard too long in the 3rd. He just didn't have it and he needed to get pulled.

Sap's thing has always been to have games on sheer dominance, then have stretches where he is just kind of there. I thought he played a lot of good post D on Griffin actually. Our lack of outside shooting killed us tonight combined with our inability to really get into the running game in the 2nd half.

Tough night for Sap. I'd really like to see him get a night off. I wouldn't mind if they just invented a reason for him not to play tomorrow.

I thought Jefferson played a great game minus his 3rd quarter and that terrible foul effort on the Griffin and 1 late in the 4th. I think Jefferson was scared to commit to fouling Griffin to early because Griffin was just going to pass it to Jordan for the dunk, but he still should have been able to foul him better than he did.
