Following potential 2012 draftees

I posted this in the Lillard thread (yeah, it was a tad off topic....sue me), but did anyone notice Miller was a ghost in 21 mins tonight? All the tools in the world, but If I was charged with picking one of the Baylor underachievers in this draft it would be PJ'tres over Miller. Fire away.....

Not saying I wouldn't draft them, but I've said (while they were still in HS, actuallt) that Jones3 and QMiller are both a bit inconsistent due to lack of desire/work ethic, etc.

I'll still sue you, maybe.

I'd go with Miller. They're both inconsistent, but I think Miller has a larger skill set, higher BBIQ, and more of a competitive nature, imo. Also, he's definitely a SF, unlike Jones, so at least we know we'd be filling a need.

His 2pts, 4 boards in 21 mins in a conf tourney game say "hello".......

True, true..

Just saying, it seems like he has a more competitive personality. In high school he was often knocked for being too confident (arrogant). Where as Jones doesn't seem confident enough.

He definitely can be passive, ala Hayward. Him and Perry Jones are kind of redundant offensively on Baylor and I think they both have trouble play together.

They both make me want to strangle them. This was before they even made a college choice .. weird the two questionably non-hard-working guys chose the same team .. seriously (I think about that all the time).

BIG time talent with these two .. big time risk with their heads.

Worse than Hayward. GH can be frustrating, but it's not for lack of effort/desire .. more for lack of confidence. He'll give you the effort.

These two are not effort guys. Never, ever, have been. I'd still draft them, though, around 7 - 12 .. and fix it.

I agree, and also with what you said back a little about Pierre Jackson. Dude had 13pts on 16 shots while PJIII gets 31 on 14 shots. Jackson more than makes up for any "aggressiveness" PJ and Miller lack.

I have not said draft him in the lottery just say if you want bsfa if Barnes miller and mkg are gone maybe trade down. I think he is a great fit on this team. He brings every thing that we need. He may not have the upside but he has improved very yeAr in college.

I DO NOT disagree. He's just not a lottery pick this year. I've watched this kid since a senior in HS .. like him. Are you saying he should be in the lottery? If so we have a debate, otherwise, none at all.

See the part where it says trade down but he is a late teen pick especially if some players don't declare or withdraw. The original concept was mkg and miller not declaring that would move him up the list IMO on the cusp of the lottery.

Gotcha .. and I understood. I think there's no chance Taylor gets into the lottery. Yes, with other SF's removing their names from the lottery, he may become the BSFA, but he still will not be taken in the lottery, no matter what. Not being argumentative, just stating my opinion. He could be a great pick up, but i think you're giving him too much.

With all due respect, Xthren, we'll see. Are you a Vandy fan? ( I doubt it, because I'm not sure they exist, but curious.)

Taylor is a great player, he just won't go top 18 ..

I like Pierre Jackson, even though I feel he wont come out until after his senior year at Baylor. He's fast, quick on the dribble, gets to the rim, has a nice shot, and has been known to make clutch plays down the stretch. He's got a true passion for the game. He's Baylors key to success in the tournament this year.

He has been a shocking disappointment lately to say the least. When he does score though, it's usually a seemingly effortless NBA caliber move...things that make you go hmmm.
