American Soldier Murders Afghans

Of course they aren't gonna label him a terrorist because he is american and probably not a Muslim.

What a stupid ****ing thing to say. Half of the garbage you throw up is in support of terrorists, one way or another. Obviously this guy snapped and committed a heinous crime. I've met very few Americans (if any) who would honestly support that behavior. I cannot say the same of Muslims.

Maybe because you don't know any Muslims? Also your categorizing Muslims and Americans separately as if an American can't read the Bible and the Qur'an and think the Qur'an is better more moral, more accurate, and not racist and join Islam like me? I'm not saying that Americans are supporting that behavior. Let me spell this out so that even you understand it.

All I am saying is that the media is not labeling him a terrorist. A criminal maybe, a psychopath maybe, anything but not a terrorist. The media picks the black sheep's in the Muslim community and labels them as terrorists. The same isn't done for others.

What a stupid thing to say and assume on your part obviously.

So you are Muslim? If so you are not doing a good job representing your religion.

I do in fact know a few thousand Muslims. My parents and the rest of my family for example. Fortunately, most of them are just culturally Muslim, and not the nasty-breath-with-a-three-foot-beard type. The "point" you're making is that the filthy terrorists who keep blowing up innocents all over the world should not be labelled as such, since this man isn't. That's about as typical a Muslim opinion as it gets.

Im not saying those people like Al-Qaeda shouldn't be labeled a terrorist. I'm saying this guy here should be, just like that christian guy who killed Muslims in Oslo.

A lion doesn't care for the opinions of sheep.

This post is beyond moronic. If I wasn't a Muslim as well, I would be thoroughly amused with how often you detriment the reputation of your own faith.

Lets watch our wording here a bit, Siromar. This is most certainly not a "typical" sentiment amongst Muslims, especially among the ones that I have met, interacted with, or read about (other than the ones popularized by Western Media, of course). This would be akin to me characterizing priests as typically being child-molesters.

My experience as well.

Edit: I found out Osama was dead from a text sent to me by a Muslim friend. He was glad that terrorist was gone. He could no longer villify his religion.

I love how he says he cannot say the same for muslims and then he later gives his parents and his relatives as an example for Muslims.

Maybe not your family but most Muslims condemn terrorists no matter their religion.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess.

He then referred to his family as culturally Muslim, which to me would indicate that they would be against terrorism as well.

But I still don't understand the rest of Siromar's point. Siromar, in my entire life, I have only met one muslim who supported terrorism against a nation. He was a Palestinian, and his brother was killed by Israeli troops for no reason; as a result, he would cheer when he heard reports of Hezbollah bombing Israel. Do I agree with him? God no. Do most muslims agree with him, at least the ones that Ive met, the imams that Ive met, and many of the muslims that I have acquainted with in the Edmonton area? Nope. However, we would all understand where his hatred was coming from.

Support for terrorism is a typical perspective in the Muslim world. The videos they show on "Western" media of children dancing in the streets following 9/11 is not a fringe community. The name "Osama" exploded in popularity in many Muslim countries following the attacks. It is probably not a majority opinion, but it certainly IS typical. I simply will not sugarcoat the truth because it is the polite thing to do.
