What's new

Jazz at Nets, 3/26, 5:30PM MT--KFNZ, ROOT, WFAN, YES

Classic. Really, I admire your steadfastness. The other meltwagoners haven't had a lot to say since the starters re-blew out the Nets.

Meltwagoners: people who complain about unnecessary mistakes and root for the Jazz to get better, instead of blind and worthless homerism for the sake of making youself feel loyal and honorable.

Ty Corbin is an idiot.

I thought he was going to play the entire 2nd half without making a sub.

I also wondered how many consecutive points the Nets were gonna rattle off before he finally took a time.

I can't believe Tinsley is back to being 3rd wheel behind Watson. Unbelievable.

The Jazz won despite of coaching.

Thanks NJ, for being so pathetic.

If you didn't know anything about Dwill's past, would anyone really think that he was anywhere close to being a top PG? He just looked like a decently athletic guard out there. It's amazing what happens when you play in the Jazz's system
...

I agree with that last statement. Deron's game, particularly his shooting, has really gone south. And what drives me carzy is he still commits WAY too many TO's. Wonder if he thought about how much fun he'd be having in Utah right now, competing for the 4th seed instead of in NJ, competing for the fourtth lottery spot.

Tonight is exactly why I would rather have our lottery pick than be swept in the first round.

Do I need to explain?

Maybe I need to accept that Favors needs to average 20 Pts, 10 reb, 5 blocks in 20 minutes to get more time. After Ty **** on him last night, that became clear.

Because the playoffs will consist of four 40 minute games by Al, Sap and our other vets.

Favors can't get more time no matter how productive he is. Two months he was rolling heads and I think his mpg average by some miracle dropped.

This playoffs experience will be an illusion. Our young guys won't get experience there and in the end we lose first round and lose out on an asset.

Al and Paul aren't part of this teams future.

I'm not content with just being a Nuggets, Memphis caliber team.

I want a champ contender.

But maybe you guys are content with mediocrity.

I think that last asset could be the difference. This draft is supposed o be sick right?

Deron was hardly trying out there, so this is no reflection of what kind of player he is. You can tell he can't wait to get out of NJ, plus I get the feeling doesn't have much incentive to play well against the Jazz because his heart and head are still in Utah.

The Jazz were awful for a good part of the night; it's lucky that the Nets were even worse -- just a bad team.

and we all know that asset will become a great player, and if we don't get it, then there is no way the jazz can pick up any other good player.

Deron wants everything his way, and when he doesn't get his way, then he sulks.

Problem is that he can't make up his mind.
He wants to be the man, but then he wants a whole bunch of great players around him so he doesn't have to do it all.
He wanted to be in a big market, but now that he's there, suddenly winning is important again.

The NBA should just give Melo, Deron, Bosh, and Lebron some rings to shut them up. None of them seem to want to actually EARN them.

Your 1st statement tells all. Corbin is a moron and do not know wht is rotation, wht is schedule and wht is moral and motivation for young fellas.

Just saying I would rather give that pick up next year rather than this year. I think that asset could be really Valuable.

I think it could be the difference between getting a Rondo and a Jarret Jack. Package Al and that pick, I think Boston could justify that trade.

you think? You want the jazz to tank because you THINK it might work out that way?

On Corbin's rotations, i'm going to try my best to throw a positive vibe on this: He's doing it to up Jefferson's value until he hits free agency. In return, Jefferson spends extra time to teach Kanter and Favors some his old school post moves. I won't deny that Jefferson has some great post talent, but I just hope he doesn't teach them anything about defense. Jefferson knows that he is not the face of the team in the future, so Corbin is just giving him minutes to be happy. I expect Harris and Millsap to be dealt with in the off-season because they are not vocal leaders. I'm not sure if Millsap is spending much time "training" the rookies as much as Jefferson does. Ideally i'll keep Millsap and trade Jefferson and allow Favors to take the center position. I highly doubt this is going to happen, so enjoy another year of Big Al.

The Nets forum:

This is the best team forum I've seen ever. They photoshop players heads, use gifs, and best of all, it's super funny in a depressing way.

Good find. This picture (and the caption) cracked me up:
