Forget the poll - Jazz just DID sign Raja Bell

OK; is Raja replacing Matthews or Korver? If Matthews is gone, we still need another SG.
At Bells's age, I'm not sure how many minutes he can play over the course of an 82 game season, plus playoffs...
I'm greedy; I want Raja AND Wes Matthews; they'd be a great duo defensively!!
Wes is gone.
@tribjazz: Jazz have notified Wesley Matthews reps they won't match offer and will sign other guard.

My guess is you'll see CJ and AK starting and Bell and Hayward backing them up, and given the injury history of 3 of them and the inexperience of the other, hopefully we'll probably sign another wing for the minimum.

I honestly didn't consider Bell as an option. I thought the fact that he's getting older and that Kobe is begging for him to come to LA...the deal was done and done. This team could use some veteran leadership. I just hope he's healthy.

Raja is a 41% career three-point shooter. Brilliant move, and even more props to KOC and Greg Miller.

Ladies and gentlemen, we're a serious threat in the West now.

Guess who Raja's career 3 point percentage is exactly the same as? You guessed it, KK. Both career 41% from the 3. Bell is a much better defender, can handle the ball better, knows this system, Sloan loved him last time. If Bell has anything left in the tank this is a huge signing. 3 million and change per year is perfect.

Now we deal AK for one more piece, ideally a stud wing player and we will be championship contenders. I'm impressed. Bell fills a need for defense and can shoot from outside so he spreads the floor. Again, this is assuming he has anything left in the tank.

I like the move. He is a way better bargain for the Jazz. But there is no way he can play 35 minutes like Matthews. We better be signing somebody with some lateral quickness because Bell has lost a step.

Bell: Has lost some of his lateral quickness and he is 34
Hayward: Does not have the lateral quickness or strength to guard 2 guards.
AK: Never had Lateral quickness
Miles: We tried to use him at the 2 guard on defense. But guys just blow past him.

We better not be done at the SG position.

Sign brown we need some athleticism!

If Matthews is really gone, we may be signing Ronnie Brewer next. Brewer is a reasonable defender at either SF or SG.
There are others I'd prefer offensively, but the advanctage of Brewer and Bell is they both can fit in here seamlessly as they "been here done that".

Raja Bell is the closet thing left in the league to Bruce Bowen. A gritty defender with attitude. Every Contending team needs one of these to make an impact in the playoffs.

Ladies and gentlemen, we're a serious threat in the West now.
I wouldn't go quite that far. Alot of question marks, (personally I don't think we're a better team w/Jefferson instead of Boozer but that can be debated), plus we're relying on CJ/AK/Bell/Hayward as our wings, which I'm fine with but not sure you can count on them to play 75 games.

Still, Jefferson and Bell are two great moves and should give us a great shot at competing for a top-4 seed again in the West.

I remember him bashing the Jazz system after he went to Phoenix...

And also promising to give the Jazz chance to sign him, only to sign with Phoenix immediately without listening to the Jazz's offer.

Complete *******. Over-rated defender. Horrible leader. Master of the inopportune technical foul.

Easily my most hated Jazzman of all time.

Most people think he came here for the extra few million. I think he came here because he's competitive and wants to beat Kobe instead of ride his coat-tails. Go Raja!
