Forget the poll - Jazz just DID sign Raja Bell

I don't think Jazzfanz has ever made me laugh this hard. *******.

Matthews was/is a little better than bell, being younger and probably stronger and quicker but I think overall they compare very closely to each other. So depending on health and age decline of raja, the $$$ savings is about as good as the jazz could have done n the situation.

Based on what? The fact that he is white? Kirk Hinrich is one of the best defenders in the league.

If you need lateral quickness, it means your guy is already beating you off the dribble.

Defense is mostly about effort and determination.

Awesomely AWESOME!!

Loved Bell before, glad he's back. Wes was not close to worth what Porty offered. ANOTHER great move KOC!

Another re-signing of an overrated former Jazz player who is a lot older. Jazz must lead the league in re-signing former players or players who they passed over in the draft. 3 years is too long. I hope the third year is a team option. This choice takes a little of the joy of signing AJ. I am sorry to see Wes go.

Source was Mark Stein on Twitter by the way.

Don't like the move. Bell is old, broken down, and coming off significant wrist surgery. Three years/$10 million, would have preferred Ronnie Brewer.

Not me. I was not a huge fan of Bell. But would take him over Brewer every time.

Are you retarded? Our team just signed one of the best role-players of the last 5 years and you're bitching about it?

Kinda surprised it's 3 years. But year 3 at 5 (at absolute worst) is hardly a killer. I said this in another post, but I think Bell's injury year is a plus for him. Injury to his wrist is not something that will affect his mobility, and a year off for a player his age can only help. The downside with Bell is no upside, but he's a good player with no issues and very serviceable.

Doubtful, why would he sign with the Jazz for 3 year 10 million if the 3rd year was a team option, when he could of signed a 2 year deal worth 8 million with the Bulls?
