What is Enes Kanter's trade value?

Hypothetical speaking.....

What could we get for Kanter?

I'm not so sure that Al or Paul are going to get traded ever. There is no point in letting a number 3 overall go to waste. So what could we pull for him if it came down to it?

For the record I like Kanter and want to keep him but the Jazz want to win now so Im not sure he fits in the plans of the Jazz FO. And they might not see his ceiling any higher than Al's anyways.

I love Kanter lets move Al or Paul. We just need to teach Kanter to jump then next to attack the basket. He could be like a mini Shaq version if he could get above the rim.

I agree. I want to keep Kanter too and I would prefer to move Al, but I think the Jazz are desperate
Just to keep their heads above water. And I think they like the fact that Al can win some games for you and wants to be here. Which is rare for us.

What I am saying is I think the Jazz are going to make Al the center piece forever and build around him. (Oh god, I hope not)

It's actually taken longer than I expected for there to be a trade Kanter thread. Not gonna happen. They will trade Jefferson 10/10 times before trading Enes.

Guy is 19, give him 2-3 years before you move him. He was a pick for the future, not for today.

I don't think the OP is asking to trade Kanter, just what his value is. It probably isn't that high considering he was a 3rd pick.

Thanks Torbin for pointing that out.

I think he might be worth less than an Overall 3rd pick. I'm not sure we could trade him for the 3rd pick in this draft. I think his lack of athleticism might have underwhelmed some people.

I think everyone knew about his lack of athletic ability. I just think people thought he was going to be further along offensively. I remember before the draft some made it out to be that Kanter already had a good offensive game, complete with accurate mid-range and post-up game.

Kanter's value isn't high enough for his untapped potential. Basically untradeable.

Compare that to Ronnie Brewer going into year 3: anyone paying attention knew he couldn't be a legitimate starting wing and his FG%/PPG was an aberration, but everything looked great superficially and he was on a rookie contract. That's a guy that you trade.

When you're playing 10 MPG, you're going to have a tough time impressing anyone or increasing your value. Or producing. Especially when you've had great stints and your coach refuses to reward you for it because there's this other guy that is JUST SO BIG OMG GUYS OK.

Well, besides Hayward how many of our young'uns have really gotten the proper amount of court time?

I think I read somewhere that Corbin told Kanter not to shoot outside shots. I think it messed with his head a little.

In fairness to Kanter I don't think he has been given much of a chance to get his offensive game going. I just think the Jazz dont want to wait forever for Kanter to come a long.

To me I think he might be able to get us a pick between 6-12 or a solid starter. But I don't think much more than that. He still has a lot of question marks combined with the good things he shows (rebounding, hustle, ect.)

It's annoying you have to use your second account and frame it in a trollish way just to ask a legitimate question. Any GM worth his salt has to consider trading anyone outside the top 7 or 8 in the league, and consider every possible scenario for winning. Having Big Al, Millsap, and Favors as your bigs core is certainly entertainable. That plus adding a stud 2 or 3, upgrading Harris , all while retaining Hayward and Burks (and Harris would make a bad *** backup pg too) would be an interesting team.

With that said, I like Kanter but I'd trade him and whatever 1st Jazz may get for a 2 or 3 IF the head office has high conviction in that pick becoming an All Star within 3 years max. If not then I roll dice on Kanter and a pick in a draft where guys like Barnes (who I'm actually low on) have dropped from 2 to 10 in many mocks.

This draft is wierd though. For example, Austin Rivers is going post-lottery? That kid can play.
