Following potential 2012 draftees

I think he could be very good. Obviously has the length and seems to have good IQ. I've only been quiet because most of the kids in the draft I've watched for years and personally met almost half, I'd say .. but I know little first-hand with Kyle and don't want to give anyone the impression I have the same type of strong opinion as I do most others.

So .. having said all that, he's certainly intriguing, I'm a tiny bit worried about his athleticism/explosiveness .. but those things also concerned me a bit with Cousins and Kanter .. so, I like him, about where the mocksters seem to.

I have been concerned with this as well. Last night my view on this changed though. I was watching the Magic/Celtic game and I watched Glen Davis play. He is not explosive. He does not have good length. He does not even average athleticism. Despite what he doesn't have, there is one thing that he does have. An NBA career. He seems to get the game and he uses his body to his advantage.

I am not saying that Davis and O'Quinn are the same type of players but it just rang true to me that if O'Quinn has the motor and the IQ, then he could find a long career in the NBA.

Those are just my thoughts.

On a side note, Hayward was the first player that I ever took part in actively watching. It was his sophomore year and I remember thinking that he could be a great pick up for the Jazz. That started out this pursuit of watching/following certain players with actual interest in where they land. It has been fun and I enjoy expressing my thoughts with other knowledgeable fans.

If you don't like how this thread is trending, just check back in a few days .. it will be completely diiferent, almost assuredly.

I think he is talking about our pick situation. This thread sucks now because our chances of getting any picks outright is low.

O'Quinn could be this years brad miller. If Jeff foster can find a place in the nba so can o'quinn.

I like the idea of a big line-up with Favors, Kanter, Jones and Hayward. That team would defend and rebound at a high level.

Edit: I'd also jump at the chance to take Andre Drummond if we were in the lotto and got lucky. Having to play against Favors and Drummond would be just demoralizing.

For those few minutes on the court that Drummond decided to play .. I get what you're saying though.

It kinda feels like PKM is the host to this thread. He greets you at the door and says How can I help you.

I think he deserves tips.

He is kinda like the bathroom attendant guy. You really don't want his help, but you feel bad if you don't let him help you.

So here's my tip.

Grow up NERD!

Lol. I'm just playing PicKeM. I like you.

Hey did you read that article on KOC? It's pretty good. The writer happened to mention that Jeremy Lamb has Allstar caliber potential. What do you think?

Well, there's that word, POTENTIAL. Very difficult to ever say someone doesn't have the potential to do something. There is the potential that I will someday be a bathroom attendant .. though not likely, imo. Understand?

I get it. That's why I'm not so high on Drummond. But Lamb has produced.

There was a time there when you were saying you would draft Rivers over Beal. I'm almost positive.

Not saying I didn't .. because there was a time that Beal was doing nothing at all. You may be right, I just don't know. Let me say this, there was never a time that if I were the one making the picks (vs. typing on a message board) that I would have chosen it any differently than that order.

You know, in fairness to Lamb, most of my dislike of him is rooted in seeing dozens enamored and slobbering over his 'stretching the d' and 'sharp-shooting.' I may have gotten soured more by the mis-scouting than the actual players overall game. Don't know for sure.

Fair enough.
