Official Game Thread: "Uh oh, it's Magic" at Jazz...Saturday, 4/21, 8:30pm MT

During the game there was 10sec wired of Ty Corbin's time out

Can you explain to me.. Why he was screaming some useless "С'mon" instead of analyzing or making some advices.

Or it's normal?

I think it is very normal for a timeout to focus on basic reminders and encouragement. Playing the game isn't as cerebral as typing about it in a forum... after the fact. mmk?

Really? I'm not being an ***, but do you really think it's typical for a coach to just say "C'mon. C'mon guys. C'mon" in a timeout? I thought they pointed things out. For example "They keep kicking the ball out to guy X. Favors, make sure you keep an eye on it." I thought timeouts meant pointing out mistakes and making small adjustments.

Edit: I highly doubt it. I think ESPN just caught the last few seconds of the timeout.

Actually, yes, you are wrong about a lot of things. You've given no statistical or other proof of the many things you've claimed over the past few pages. The truth is that Al isn't an efficient offensive player for the number of touches and plays he is given, and he is "trending down" on defense.

If others need "reading comprehension," perhaps you need to learn how to watch the game.

Since arriving in Utah, Jefferson's assist numbers have done nothing but climbed as has his assist-to-turnover ratio. I think this is a huge indicator and "statistical proof" that his offensive game is improving. He did arrive here as a black hole offensively and IMO that counteracted his strong low post game. Now, you see Al showing better knowledge of when to pass out of the double team. In fact, you saw it first hand last night when Al found Harris for the 3 pointer that ended up being the dagger. That play doesn't happen last year. I see play like this as strong indicators that Al is improving. As far as how efficient he is for his amount of touches, I do believe his numbers are higher than when they were in Minnesota.

I'll say it again: Utah's best line-up (by far) includes Jefferson, Sap, and Favors. Jefferson is a liability on the PnR and always will be, but when put on the floor at the same time as Utah's other 2 bigs, it works for Utah. I guess if you feel this team should be stocked with nothing but PnR defensive specialists, then Jefferson will never be your guy. However, I think to win in the playoffs, you need that low post player that demands a double team. Sap, Favors, and Al on the floor together gives Utah the perfect mix of defensive help and offensive punch. Sap is never going to demand a double team on the low post, and until Favors becomes that guy, I'm not sold on the idea of trading Jefferson.

Man, I certainly didn't plan on seeing so much **** on Jazzfanz when I logged in this morning. The mods must be busy keeping the sabbath holy?

Whose minutes does Howard get Tuesday ?

He should get nobody's. The team is playing good as it is now, and I hope Corbin isn't stupid enough to wreck the chemistry. Maybe he should get minutes if Carroll/Burks aren't producing at all.
