What's new

ESPN LOVES us now...

Charles Barkley picked the Jazz and said a lot of good things about them. Yes the rest of the crew picked Phoenix but it wasn't like there wasn't a reason to pick them considering they had beaten the Jazz seven straight.

Cheryl Miller is SO much better than Reggie. Don't know WHY Reggie is even in broadcasting; so obviously not his thing...

I think they're both awful in their own way.

As a sideline reporter, I really have no opinion of Cheryl Miller. Probably because sideline reporter is the most useless job in America.

On NBATV Cheryl Miller is loud and obnoxious. And while I'm usually oblivious to such things - she has absolutely the worst taste in clothes.

I laughed when Reggie said that Michael Redd was the best shooter on either team last night, while statistically Nash could very well go down as the greatest shooter in the history of the league.

Two words: Craig Sager

Also, Barkley almost always gives the Jazz some love.

Never seen NBATV. Sometimes we forget these media personalities besides reporting/announcing often are playing a role for their employer.
Ah, Craig Sager is another one... I actually like Barkley and Kenny Smith; why they added Shaq I have no idea...

Thank you for pointing this out. Barkley is not afraid to go against the grain and good thing he did last night.

I can proudly say I've never watched more than 90 seconds of the NBA on TNT pre-game, half-time or post-game show in my life.

The veteran posters on this board (most of them anyway) know more about The Jazz than all 4 of those clowns combined. Just because a camera is pointed at them doesn't mean I should be inclined to listen their opinions about any thing.

You are missing out. They are funny dudes. They don't pretend to know everything and give pretty unbiased opinions. The banter between Charles, Kenny, and Ernie is funny too, it's like hanging out with your friends.

Some interesting tweets on ESPN:

Warriors tanking like crazy. But worth it? 50/50 chance they lose pick anyway. Or they get so-so prospect now & prob. lose pick next yr."

Big Al had to calibrate his game big-time in Utah. He struggled early, but worked his tail off the past 2 yrs. Kudos."

Looking for a dark-horse candidate for COY? Try Mr. Ty Corbin. Their stuff is tight, creative and, like, it works."
