So, can anyone provide a link to the press conference yet that isn't quick time?
Archie needs to make a sig that has the "Basketball Gods" that Big Al is always talking about.
Does that mean he's fat and out of shape or was he just nervous being surrounded by so many white people :O

I smiled at that. Good picture.
Al mentioned that he is getting back to feeling like he did pre-injury. Said that this past year was a "recovery year" and now he feels great.

I listened to it live in the car and it was really really long.
I know its been said over and over on here and on the radio but this really was a fantastic interview. I'm 10 times more excited now that I got to know him better. Seems like a great person and its going to fit in great here.

Just listened to it again and I was really struck by these 3 things:
1. Loved the call from Deron. Deron says, 'You know you got a good point guard now?', and he says, "Right?"
2. Not only did he not say something pre-programmed on the DUI stuff, but he even brought it up himself when talking about Minnesota fans being forgiving. Most people would have squirmed their way through it and couldn't wait for the subject to be dropped. It's a little thing, but people who can bring up their failings in open conversation usually have a pretty good handle on themselves.
3. Sincerity. Big Al is genuine. He's tactful, but he's not saying what he thinks he should say. So you come away believing completely that he loves everything about this situation. He sees this as the opportunity it is. And he's going to work his *** off. I'll honestly be stunned if I'm wrong about this.

Then you should really carve out 8 minutes of your life to check it out. Press conferences like this are usually just a bunch of crap where you listen to a guy say what he thinks he should say and whack a bunch of softballs out of the park. This was definitely different.
I liked that he mentioned his deficiencies on defense and how he's going to make it a focus.
I just watched some more of Al's PC on the local news here in Salt Lake. It is so refreshing to hear and see a player this genuinely excited to be here. He says that his mom and grandmother are even more excited for him than he is.
Channel 2 says they will have his mom and grandmother on tomorrow night. Oddly I am looking forward to seeing what they have to say.
Can we just start the season tomorrow already? I want to get it going!
