Jazz were at least competitive with the Suns even if they lost. The Spurs just own the Jazz (unfortunately). I hope I am wrong.
We lost to them by 15 in the 4th game of the season. (Throw away game, we were terrible then)
We lost to them by 4 (at home) in the middle of our worst stretch of the season.
We lost to them by 10 (at SA). Not terrible
We beat them by 7 (at home). Big 3 rested.
It's not like they trounced us by 20 every game.

Care to make a wager on your optimism? How about if the Jazz win more than 2 games in the series I will donate $20 bucks to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. If the Jazz win less than 2 games than you donate $20 to a charity of your choice.

The Jazz are a much different team with a vastly imporved Favors in instead of CJ, Tinsley playing backup minutes and Carroll providing all the hustle and very little of the chuck of Howard.
As long as the Big Big 3 are in there Utah should be very competitive. If we win game 1 this place is going to explode.

True. They beat us by 5.5 every game. BUT STILL. This was before Ty discovered the BIG LINEUP. Also, the Spurs look hungry as hell this year. And they have Stephen Jackson which is like having extra-strength Ron Artest these days. And Matt Bonner who lights up the Jazz like cray cray. But the Jazz have the big lineup so that is a plus. And Jazz fans threw stuff on the court once at the end of a Jazz/Spurs playoff series. Intimidation.
My dream is that this goes to a game 7. Each team steals one on the road.
Matt Bonner is the only player I fear. Elite shooting stretch 4's are Utah's nightmare.
It is not a foregone conclussion that Utah ends up with the 8th seed. If Utah wins in Portland (likely) and Denver looses @ OKC (likely) and @ Minny (unlikely) then Utah gets the 7th seed. Only part I see as not happening is the Denver loss to Minny. K. Love and Rubio are both out.
If Denver loses to Minnesota it is on purpose to play the Spurs.

More than likely. Of course Denver could end up the 6th seed as well depending on if they win and Dallas loses.

Just hoping for a good competitive series no matter what happens. I'd love to see the Jazz win this in 6 or 7. It's an uphill battle, but certainly not impossible. I'll be rooting them on the whole way.

A lot is going to hinge on what Ty dies with his rotations. I believe we have a line up somewhere in there that can beat the Spurs. They don't scare me like they did back in the day(boozer/Okur era) back then we didn't play any defense and they did. That's why they would work us. We are 10x better on defense now than we were then Swat Lake City baby.

Let's be honest though. Kanter makes as many mistakes as good plays out there right now. And, I don't blame him one bit. He's a rookie and he's taking his lumps. He has shown a few signs of brilliance from time to time which is exciting for the future. But, seriously, why would any coach give hims significant minutes in the playoffs at this point?

Jazz in 7 and the NBA takes notice that Utah is coming sooner than anyone thought they were.
Why pick on me? About half of the thread picked the Spurs. I don't understand people's need to deceive themselves. Chances are Jazz lose the series. I don't want that to happen. It might not happen. And I for sure will root my *** off for the Jazz each game. But lying to myself about the odds does nothing to my enjoyment of the game.

Edit: I want Utah to go into S.A. guns blazing, balls to the wall and knock the Spurs on their butt and never, ever let up. I want it to be so terrifyingly aggressive that the other 14 playoff teams have nightmares about facing Utah.
