Following potential 2012 draftees

I have to ove Houston up the list because when I looked at it I didn't know Houston had nys pick. That would be the logical solution give them straight up gsw pick for 14 or 16.

PKM, thanks for the info. I can see both the Philly and Houston scenarios working easily.

I can see Harris being move for either Holiday or Turner or both. I can see the early 2nd and the GSW pick being in play with this. Philly needs some cap relief and they would get it after next season.

I think the Houston is gunning for Jefferson hard. A Jefferson/Patterson combo sound above average to me. Houston is in desperate need of consistent low post scoring. Lowry, Martin and Parsons make a good small man line up. Add Jefferson to that and start giving Patterson heavy minutes and hey are closer to a playoff team then they have been this year.

As far as targets go, I think the Jazz will go after a SF. QMiller makes sense but so does TJones or even PJones depending on what happens. I think that the PG position. Will be corrected through FA. I said this in the DWill thread but I am really liking the Harden idea.

And for all those that don't think he can play PG, Google his playing position in college.

I don't think Philly is going to give up on Evan Turner. I'd be thrilled if they did, but he's too talented. They *might* be willing to move J'rue though. I think realistically, we do need to move Jefferson and likely should do it while his stock is as high as it is. Kanter will start to play that role some next year. I also can't see how OKC lets Harden slip away.

Holy **** you people are delusional. There is absolutely no chance Phily ships off one of their 23 year old up and comers, with real upside, for an aging point guard who we want to get rid of.

What I heard last night makes me think it's Houston .. having said that, I've heard talks have fizzled or at least not gaining any meaningful steam. Whichever team is the potential trade partner is apparently shopping the pick pretty hard. Let ya know if I hear anything else.

With the GS pick coming next year. I'm thinking we need to trade Al for 2 or 3 good roll players. A big defender and a shooter or two. I'm not sure getting a pick is that big of a priority unless it's to get Marshall.

Pkm I would agree Houston is the biggest possibility. They have 7 on their roster now. I would guess the pick up dalemberts last year, resign camby and go after dragic. That is 10 players with 2 more rookies I could see them shop their second pick for future considerations ie gsw pick. But is the gsw pick worth a #16 pick and will t jones be on the board.

Houston is definitely a likely suitor since they have 2 picks and Mchale definitely likes Jefferson. I also don't see them being interested in completely rebuilding, I think they're more interested in having a competitive team right away.

And I think Quincy Miller is someone we should, and probably are looking at with a potential Houston pick. He's likely in that range (#18 on DX and Chad Ford's Big Board), we need a SF and KOC has always been a fan of size advantages. Based on our team needs and the upside of Miller that low in the draft, I'd love it if we took a gamble on him.

I also like the idea of offering Dragic a contract this summer. With Miller and Dragic, we just might shore up our PG and SF problems. Houston could be our gold mine.

Don't really see us getting Miller. Underachievers don't seem to be a priority of KOC's recent draft philosophy. I think if we target getting anyone in a trade it's Marshall, Lillard, or Barnes if he falls low enough.

Thanks for the update.

Signed a delusional Jazz fan.

Don't totally disagree and I'd rather have Marshall. But I'm not sure I see Marshall falling out of the lottery, which is where PKM is hearing we're trying to get a pick at.

I doubt the Jazz get completely serious about a trade until the final fate of this year's GSW pick is known at the end of May.
