I think the idea is we want Parker to take jump shots. A Parker jump shot is less effective than a fully run Spurs offensive possession.
Of course. But not wide open, totally uncontested jump shots. Hayward gets blocked on screens, and then can't get anywhere close to Parker on his shot. Locke will probably write tomorrow that Hayward did great since Parker missed more than he made. But we got lucky.
If you're going to go under, you accept the shot that happens at the point of attack. You don't go under to let that guy get a clean look 5-8 feet from the pick.
