Following potential 2012 draftees

Zeller would make Big Al look like the DPOY. No thanks.

Whenever I watched Zeller I thought he did a pretty good defensive job. I would put him ahead of Moultrie as a defender, at least at the college level. Moultrie was 2nd in the SEC in minutes per game though and played next to Jabba The Hut.

Defensively, Zeller may lack some girth to defend bigger NBA centers and isn't the most imposing rim-protector (his 2 blocks per-40 minutes ranks 11th of the 15 centers in our top 100 rankings), but he's a very cerebral defender who understands positioning, both defending the ball and in help situations, as he does an excellent job drawing charges. He'll likely never be considered a game-changing defender at the center position, but his smarts and instincts should enable him to fit into a defensive scheme, where he has the potential to excel defending ball screens and making the proper rotations.

Perhaps the area we've noticed the most improvement in Zeller over the past year has been with his toughness and willingness to embrace contact in the paint. We noted before that he seemed to be a bit soft at times and was muscled around on occasion, but he showed more of a mean streak this year on both ends of the floor. After being a below average rebounder for three seasons, Zeller improved dramatically as a senior, showing great activity on the glass on both ends of the floor and grabbing 13.6 rebounds per-40, which was the highest of all centers in our top 100.

I really wanted him in the situation that we had the 8th and 14th pick.

Who are the better shooters in this draft? We CoUlD UsE SoMe Of ThOsE.

John Jenkins is easily the best shooter in the draft and it's not even close. He took 9 a game this year, while being the focal point of the defense and still managed to shoot 44%

I've been reppin JJ for a while now. We should all be hoping to get this guy.

I'll admit i dont know alot aboy john jenkins is He a chucker or does he score with in the flow of the game?

I guess he is a chucker? They just run him off screens constantly until he is open and he shoots if his man isn't air tight on him. That is what makes him impressive because he has such a quick release and can make shots without being wide open.

I guess I should go watch more tape of him. If he can curl/run off screens for his shots that could be great for this team. Bell often gets those kinds of shots but he is too slow to pull the trigger.

I too have been reppin for a couple years.

you definitely have a lot more knowledge of this kid than I do (big DUH), but I have seen him play enough to be impressed. I've been connected to some Vandy folks the past couple of years and we've watched a handful of games. That's all.

We all know that the Jazz need shooters... this guy has to be on our radar.

Another two? So we bench Burks in favor of him? Play Hayward at the 3 where he's clearly not as strong? I'm not a fan of this move.
