Harris trades....

there's been plenty of dreaming about Al trades, but barely any about trades involving Harris.

Here's one I would consider:

Harris to Indy for their 26th pick + a future second-rounder

Indy has the cap space to take him on and they're looking for pieces to add to an already good team. That's all I got for now.

ANY OTHER IDEAS?

Not nearly enough for what he brings to the table imo.

Probably not. Like I've said before, if we have more of a transition-oriented offense that allows Harris to just push the hell out of the bball and nothing else, then he's fine. In other words, it's the Al-Devin pairing that isn't working for me.

I think it's more likely that Harris gets dealt to a team at the deadline. I'm just bored at the moment... waiting for the Grizz-Clips game to start.

(but I'll say this now: I'd sell on Harris at slightly below market value right now rather than get nothing for him later. I don't think he is in KOC's long-term vision. If we could turn him into a Royce White or DMiller plus a future pick, then that'd be cool).

If we got the GS pick, then it makes more sense. We take Lillard or Marshall. Get someone else later on for Harris as you mentioned. But I still think we could get a little more. I also think they'd be happier with Collison and re-signing Hill. Or simply go hard after Deron.

OR we package the two picks and Al for MKG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love tough-nosed, gritty, defensive-minded guys who bring passion and leadership. Sorry.

Rep'd just for starting this thread.

I'm the last guy to apologize for that. I'm the dude that keeps reppin' Mbah a Moute! Watching Tony Allen right now.... damn, just give me 4 of those guys.

The thing I don't like about Harris the most is when he plays basketball for my team.

It would make sense to trade him. Corbin seems to like Watson and Tinsley better.

So we got 3 players who are about equal in value at one position(at least to us). They get played that way too. But dont make money the same. I personally like Watson and Tinsley better, and they are cheaper.

So I dont really see how or why KOC wouldnt attempt to dump him for cheap. I dont believe we will re-sign him. I could see us re-signing Jefferson before him. Although Watson and Tinsley are pretty old too. i guess we would have to worry about injuries. It would be nice to upgrade, but I would be fine with just dumping Harris. There really isnt all that much out there to get that is a huge upgrade.

If he got dumped for a late 1st rounder I would be estatic.

Harris to the Phoenix Suns for Jared Dudley and next year's 2nd round pick.

Suns get a PG to replace Nash, Jazz get swingman with a legit 3 point shot. Suns will be under the cap so they can absorb the extra salary while relieving a 4 year committment to Dudley

The 1st is probably too much to ask for being it will most certainly be lottery. But the second round pick may be around 32-35. Could be a nice pick up.

The point to carrying Harris is to let him expire and/or recoup value for him at the deadline in the event we're not making the playoffs. If another team offered to absorb his whole salary and give us a high 20's pick (something I very much doubt), I still wouldn't do it unless there was a plan in place to sign a PG who was at least comparable to Harris.

But the problem is there aren't guys on the market that I've seen who would be worth the longterm salary commitment. So unless you're going to bag a Chauncey or some other one year solution, we're better off living with Harris for another year.

Smartest **** I've seen you say, props.

Good thread. I am going to let other people offer opinions because I have no idea what we could get in a Harris trade.

I'm sure you both remember when Devin was absolute horse**** for 35-40 games? I don't think it would be that hard to reproduce his productivity. It definitely would be hard if he could be more like he was at the end of the year. I'm not betting on that.

ah, yeah, I suggested something like this a while ago. I like it. Although, Dudley had a pretty good year this year. I'm not sure Phoenix will be shipping him out, and they may want a lot more. Dunno

^^^ wtf is your sig pic? I've seen it a million times, but never thought to ask .. damn, what is it?

If you're going to trade Harris, you need a good defensive PG at the very least, back in return. We'd be a lotto team if we had to depend on Tinsley as a starting PG.

-Trade Harris to Lakers for Odom TPE and Darius Morris (or not, who cares).
-Trade Morris, Al, and the Nets 2015 2nd rounder to Houston for Kevin Martin and #11 (draft Lillard).
-Sign Nash to two-year $20 million deal.
-Get stoked.
