Don't get me wrong, he is outstanding player but it has something to do with people that used to be in Bosnian NT back when he should have picked us instead of Sweden and him being a gipsy. Beside that I'd like to see somebody kick his ***, I don't care if it's during the game or training session, like he is messing with his teammates or opponents.

France played much, much better in the second half of today's game. Hopefully, this is a sign of great things to come in this tournament. Keep in mind, they were ranked 14th/16th in this tourney going in.

A shame. I want the Ukraine to beat England, and advance now. This England team plays with more heart and swagger than almost any other England team I have ever seen play pin a international championship; it's ironic, because this is probably the least talented England Squad in 10-15 years.

Michael Laudrup to me is the best player I ever saw to play the game. Yes I know there was Pele, Kruiff and others but I had no chance to follow them live.... while Laudrup was easily the most exciting player to watch in 90's.

Not surprised at all that Denmark beat Netherlands, team work in football has better chances to beat individual stars then in basketball, just ask Greece in 2004.

Actually one of the reasons I like Ibrahimovic was that he has Bosnian roots. If I'm not mistaken he's actually plain Bosnian. But I didn't know the matters between him and the Bosnian NT, if he didn't chose Bosnia all by himself then that's a minus for me too.

Yeah, I read about it. To bad seeing him on the bench coaching is not the same as seeing him making those runs and crazy accurate passes.

soccer is so lame. its so annoying how espn keeps putting it on tv. no one gives af about it here. plus the usa didn't even make this world cup or whatever it is. they woulda lost anyway probably though.
The other day I was reading that he had a chance to play for Croatia as well but went with Sweden instead. Back then he was not what he is these days and people from Bosnian NT did not care that much for him. I heard that his father still wishes that he went with BiH instead of Sweden.
Funny thing about Memo, he has Bosnian roots as well. His grandfather used to be an Imam long time ago in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Well it is nr 1 sport in the world. King of sports easily. FIFA world cup is most watched sport event in the world by far.
By the way lamest sports ever in my mind is american football ( should be called handegg as you guys play it with hands and egg shaped thing for some odd reason called ball) and baseball. I would rather watch beach volleyball then waste another minute in my life watching any of these two "sports". Not surprisingly nobody in the world gives af about american "football", lol.
Football was not named "football" because a ball is kicked. It was named because the game was played on foot, as opposed to on horseback. There were actual games called "football" (long before any of the current versions of football were standardized) that expressly forbid the use of one's feet.
And who gives a f if nobody in the world cares about US football. Like anyone here is losing sleep over that.

I've never understood a person's critique of other sorts. Every sport out there offers a different experience, so why not try to enjoy them all? Especially as opposed to comparing one to another, or trying to come up with reasons as to why cricket is better than hurling. Who cares, if a man likes baseball, let him like baseball. Personally, I try watching a wide-variety of sports. Of course, some, like baseball and football, might not appeal to me as much as soccer and basketball. Does it mean they're worse? Nope.
