We need a good guard that can score and is a versatile player. We had problems with our second unit being able to score and he could come in and knock down some good shots. He also scored over 40 points once. Thoughts?
 
I think CJ burned his bridges here. Move along here nothing to see. It's ironic but if he doesn't get hurt in camp a few years ago, no one knows who Wes Matthews is. He would be a perennial DLeague player at this point.
 
Why CJ? Because he's our turd or something so we select him over some other random turd?

No thanks, I know that turd stinks. I'd rather take my chances with a new turd.
 
After the Mbenga and Morrison threads, I just KNEW someone was going to post this one.

The only reason to have CJ around is to see if he could post diminishing shot %'s for the fifth consecutive year. That's a tough feat to accomplish.
 
I like his length and his athleticism, however, his shot is a little inconsistent. Yet, I think he can improve under Jeff Hornacek! Plus, he'll get wide open looks with us because Big Al will be getting double teamed. He'll be able to spread the floor for us. I like him for cheap, but I wouldn't overpay. Somewhere in the 3/8 million ballpark. I would want to lock him up long term for sure!
 
I'm calling this for what it is: one-upping recent threads such as "Adam Morrison?" , "Darko?" , and "DJ Mbenga?"

Or is it that 5 games don't look as bad as the other 77?

He will be in the league somewhere next season, but not in Utah. So the real question is, when he comes as the visiting team do Jazz fanz:

1-- Cheer
2-- Boo
3-- Even Notice

1. Not likely
2. He'll get a few boos
3. Fans will notice but probably won't care too much.
 
I'd rather be blind than have to deal with C.J. chucking for another year. A human being can only take so much.
 
This year is going to be great. I've been waiting over half a decade for our "trash" (AK,CJ, Bell, Brewer) to finally be kicked to the curb and move on. It's sad it's taken this long but finally, it's good to be a jazz fan again.
