Ok, maybe I'm seeing things.
Jerry's a flopper.
Ya call this floppin, eh, Freek?: "He was the perfect teammate. When I played against him, I thought he was a really dirty player. When I played with him, I loved him. He would do anything to win a game. I once saw him take three charges against Bob Lanier. He never blinked. He played the second half of a playoff game with a broken foot." (Rick Adelman)
Not to say he was above a flop, now and again, I spect: "Some people may call him dirty, I think he took it to the edge. He would do whatever it took to win.(laughs) You know what I'm sayin'?If it took tuggin' ya, trippin' ya, pullin' ya." (Bob Lanier).
But still....:"Jerry is a warrior, an absolute warrior. I saddled him and rode him. He helped make me. He would never come out and warm up. He'd stay in the locker room and build up a hatred for the guy he was going to guard. It was a privilege to be around Jerry Sloan." (Dick Motta)
So, then, all in all, they aint really but one possible conclusion, I figure, like I done said, to wit:
Sloan, he ROCKS, eh!?
