Team Spycam1

PG- Lebron James / Tony Parker
SG- Ray Allen / Allen Iverson
SF- Vince Carter / Andrie Kirilenko
PF- David Robinson / Chris Webber
C- Patrick Ewing / Chris Bosh

Team Hack

PG- Gary Payton / Derrick Rose
SG- Dwayne Wade / James Harden
SF- Kevin Durant / Robert Horry
PF- Blake Griffin / Ben Wallace
C- Shaquille O'Neal / Artis Gilmore

Spycam1's case:

Down low:

While Shaq is the best player down low in this game, as a duo, Robinson + Ewing > Shaq + Griffin. Griffin is clearly the weak link here. And I'm not sure Shaq and Griffin would have the best chemistry. Neither one of them can knock down the mid range jumper, or make a FT to save their life. Griffin is also a terrible defender, where as Robinson and Ewing were both fantastic (both have posted over 4BPG, and Robinson even won DPOTY). My duo down low is clearly better on both ends of the court.

Perimeter:

Lebron > Durant
Carter < Wade
Allen = Payton (though I think Allen had a slightly bigger impact on the game in his prime, I'm willing to say their impact is about a draw)

I think our starting 1-3 is pretty even actually. Though, I definitely have more 3 point shooting to spread the floor for my bigs (Allen and Carter both knocked down over 40%), plus Lebron is a better 3 point shooter than Wade or Payton. The bottom line is the perimeter players are about even, but I'd give mine a slight advantage due to their ability to spread the floor better.

Bench:

Iverson > Rose
Parker > Harden
AK > Horry (yes, the dude won titles, but his career high in PPG was 12...yeah.)
Webber > Wallace (Webber averaged 27 PPG in his prime, was a great rebounder, and one of the greatest passing big men ever...also had lots of clutch shots)
Bosh = Gilmore (can't say about Bosh vs Gilmore, cause I never saw him play, but his 80's stats look similar to Bosh's, so I'll just call it a draw. Really don't know for sure, though.)

In the end:

My team is better down low, has more outside shooting to spread the floor for my bigs (which is a huge flaw for Hack since neither of his bigs can knock down a mid range jumper, and neither can 2 of his starting 3 perimeter players can hit a 3?), and is deeper.

Hack's case:

I just want to speak on a few points considering my team. Ill leave it up to everyone's imagination what the game would be like.

1. The Shaq affect

To defend Shaq requires double and triple teams, which makes everyone he plays with better, and their jobs a lot easier. It spreads the floor in different way than a shooter does. It forces the other team to routinely leave their man, and gamble. It often doesn't work out for the opposing team if Shaq is playing with another superstar in his prime. In this case, I have two legit Superstars, Wade , and Durant. Shaq's rings were won with only one Superstar each time, Kobe and Wade. Just think what having two would do. Wade and Durant can have a field day while the other team is desperately trying to stop Shaq. Shaq was a force like no other and was probably the most physically dominate player ever.

Every where Shaquille has played in his prime, namely, Orlando, L.A., and Miami, he has taken his team to the Championship. And every time he moved on those teams fell out of contention.

2. Team Balance

My team has role players, do all players, and specialty players. My team has an excellent combination of finesse and power. If you look closely they all compliment each other in a certain way. Take for instance Wade and Durant. Both basically have zero weaknesses but excel in an area. Wade is more of a driver while Durant is lethal from the outside. They don't duplicate each other, but are both capable of doing just about anything. No one duplicates anyone on my team with the exception of maybe Rose and Wade, but they aren't starting together. Rose can provide the scoring punch off the bench.

3. Clutch time.

I have three guys who are as clutch as they come, Wade , Durant, and Horry. There are a few others that I wouldn't be afraid of putting game in their hands either.

Why I believe my team would win

The offense is unstoppable. The defense is good enough. The clutch is off the chain.

Lebron is going to have a hard time covering Payton Rose Wade and Durant all by himself on the perimeter with Shaq drawing defenders inside.
On the other end Lebron will see Shaq and Big Ben / Gilmore inside, and the temptation to try to match Durant 3 for 3 will be too great to resist, as tired as his legs are.
If his coach is counting on Iverson to come to his rescue, it likely just goes downhill faster. JMHO.

Trouble with Spy's team is there is zero perimeter D aside from LBJ and AK. Zero. Also inside he's getting crushed. Also that team has it's roster turned on its ear. How in the F you have Bosh playing C in an all-time championship is beyond me. Sorry.

And the fact that his 3 backup perimeter players can't shoot and that 2 of them are kind of redundant.

Hack has the most dominant player in Shaq, and has Wade and Durant. The only thing that is keeping this from being a blow-out is that he has Blake Griffin as his starting PF. Would be a good backup in this game, but isn't really a great compliment to the team.

Shaq and Durant should win their match-ups the way the lineups are posted, and I think Wade has a small advantage over Ray Allen.

Lebron is awesome, but may be asked to do too much in that line-up as the PG and primary scoring option.

Would really like to see Iverson start and move Lebron to the SF where he can neutralize Durant.

I still think David Robinson is a bit limited out on the floor in the PF spot and would be better at the C spot starting with Webber.

I think I said this before: Iverson/Allen/Lebron/Webber/Robinson looks like the best Spycam lineup to me; or swap in Bosh if you want to spread the floor more.

I'm not seeing much defense in the pivot with Spycam's 2nd unit, but assume one of the Cs would stay in the game all the time.

I went with Hack on this, but it's a coin flip. I'm not as down on Griffin as others are, given that he's a 4th or 5th option, and he can still rebound.

If Hack could have gotten someone like Rasheed Wallace his team would be awesome.

The thing is that when I picked my PF it was my fifth pick and there wasn't much to choose from. Blake seemed as good as any left, and I personally liked him better.

All the best bigs were taken very early. I originally planned to stack my front line with someone great next to Shaq. But since I picked 2nd my next pick wasn't til late. so I went a different route. But I still like the team I built.

Hack.

Shaq and Gilmore dominate their match-ups inside. Also believe Durant > VC. Spycam has a definite advantage with Robinson over Griffin. But LBJ is out of position. It's a real reach to put him at PG. I know he's great, but I just don't see him staying with Payton or Wade. I guess Allen brings the ball up the court for Team Spycam and then hands it over to LeBron. Would be an interesting locker room with AI and VC, though. And if AK is coming off the bench, I think it only fair to consider the numbers he put up (or didn't, as it were) in that same role with Utah.

What? Lebron? The guy that can shut down Derrick Rose (who is quicker than both of those players) at the drop of a hat? I must be misunderstanding you.
