What's new

Call me a homer a thousand times

Jefferson at the expense of Bosh would destroy a lot of key things for Miami
-a primary big that has enough agility to bother ballhandlers and close out
-a primary big that can draw defense out of the paint
-a primary big that can run the floor both ways

It would be worth the trade just to ruin the Heat.

If you look at it from that angle then I totally agree with you. I would prefer a three way trade so that we didn't have to take Mr Soft, aka Bosh.

I think Bosh and Al are pretty equal. Both were really good players on bad teams, then took smaller roles to be on better teams (Bosh to a much larger extent, hopefully Al gets there). The thing is that Bosh is a much easier player to incorporate on any given team and is much more versatile, making him capable of being a complimentary player. Can Jefferson ever become a true complimentary player? So far, not really. Given that I would say Bosh > Jefferson.

Bosh has also developed into a fairly good defender.

Debatable. His team has really good team defense, making his defense look better.

He does have good foot speed which allows him to cover pick n rolls, which is probably way more important than being able to guard 1 on 1 in the post anymore though.

Bosh's contract makes him toxic. He'd look good next to Favors, but so does mother ****ing Millsap. Oh, no? oklolzbyebye

Fair enough. I'm pretty sure his pick n roll defense rating is pretty good though...I think I remember reading that once. Whatevs, he certainly has the length and lateral quickness for it.
