What's new

Free Alec Burks

He has to be able to be a "go to guy", which he is not.
Al Jefferson and Derrick Favors have good numbers respectfully, but they're not go to guys.

The problem with what you say is, you are nitpicking.

K.

Name me all the power forwards better than Blake Griffin

I think he is probably the go to guy, I mean Chris Paul also. He's no MJ, Kobe, Durrant, .... but I would want him to have the ball at the end of the game. Unless they are in a FT shooting position, then ya hes worthless.

When has Griffin lead a team to the playoffs without great guards around him?

K.

Even Al Jefferson has done that with a bunch of rookies, 2 year guards, and and Devin Harris at point.

Pfft.

K.

Listen.

Last year was only his second year. WTF was Jefferson, Millsap, Favors, Kanter, and all the other power forwards/Centers doing in their second year?

So your definition of a great player is he has to be classy?

I didn't say that, I said I didn't like them and they suck.
Which in other words means I don't like them.
I've always hated players that flop, bitch to the refs after every call, and bail on their respective franchises for so-called guaranteed championships.

Oh I don't know.... playing the best they could with subpar rookie guards that couldn't pass or shoot the ball.
This year is a different story, and it shows.
Kanter and Jefferson will eat Griffin alive this year, thanks to the spreading of the floor.

But does his potential justify a call for more min?

Yes I think he should see the court, but its hard when you have a really deep team with good players above him. I can't think of a player I would bench to put Burks over right at this second, probably later in the year but not right now. I am confident Burks will be playing 15+ a game by the all star break.

So Jefferson is a star, a go to guy. If thats your metric then I guess so.

Didn't say that either.
I did say Jefferson lead the Jazz to the playoffs without any help from the guard line.
No Chris Paul, no Chauncy Billups, no Mo Williams, no Caron Butler, no shooting at all.....

C'mon man!!

You are just being ridiculous.

You are dogging Griffin because in his one year without Chris Paul, as a rookie, on the Clippers, didn't make the playoffs? But he gets no credit for going to the playoffs in his second year?

Jfferson didnt lead the Jazz no where. They won in spite of him. He played just well enough to not sink us, and barely keep us above five hundred.

I don't see how I'm being ridiculous.....
The guys always been surrounded by terrific shooting and passing guards, and this opens up his game ten fold.

If Jeremy Evans was the size of Blake Griffin, everyone would be talking him up to be an all-star too.
Oh wait..... no they wouldn't, because he's on the small market Jazz.

Oh please....

Jfferson was the Jazz's only reliable offense last year, besides an often disappearing Millsap, Harris, and Hayward.

Where's the empirical evidence?

I have obtained the highest stamp of approval possible--Cleverbot with an authoritative and reaffirmed no.

Believe it or not there are a lot of really tall guys who can jump high and dunk. Poor argument.

Signed Deandre Jordan, Javale Mcghee, Derrick Favors, etc ........
