What's new

BYU Football 2012

Things do seem kind of to be aligning for the whole Andy Reid to BYU scenario to happen soon. I have no clue if that ultimately would be a good thing or not, or if he still considers it his "dream job" like he has said in the past, but the thought is exciting. I would like Bronco to move on personally regardless of the Reid situation. I want the potential for BYU to be a lot better to be there. I don't think it's there right now with him.

And also I think it would be a boon to CU if that happened. Bronco might actually be Bronco at CU, and not the character he had to invent to land the BYU job.

Van Noy most likely gone. LB corp will be almost completely new.

New but I think likely an upgrade. Kavienga was overrated because of his USC history, and Ogletree was great against the rune, but really really bad in coverage. KVN will be tought to replace but him being gone isnt going to kill the D. Pikula and Unga are pretty good right now, they should be able to step in pretty seamlessly.

Yea, Stout should be able to step up and he's a hard hitter...... wait a second.

Fua(hopefully he puts on 10-15 lbs)/Unga/Pikula/Hadley is pretty solid. Pikula is the one everybody is targeting as the next surefire NFL guy. The D-line had a couple of good players this year that are leaving, but I'm guessing they'll still be better next year as the depth was pretty weak due to injuries. If they can find a couple of guys that can cover out of their recruiting class/RMs, I expect good things defensively in '13.

I think the defense will get a little worse (can't really sustain what they did this year) and the offense will get better (can only go up anyway).

Agree about Kavienga. Lotta hype but he never really stood out to me.

Preston Hadley is probably going to be the biggest loss. Never got beat, and was a great tackler for being a CB. I dont know who will replace him.

Love that guy. I don't know that I would pick him in the first round in the NFL draft like he is being projected, but I hope he kills it.

Wow, how about Kyle Van Noy. That was as dominant a defensive performance as I've seen in a long time.
