What's new

Utah Jazz VS Cleveland long haired solders of King Charles at 7:00 ON ROOT Sports 1280 AM/ 97.5 FM

yea right millsap = JAZZ BASKETBALL
FAT al = LAZY NO DEFENSE BLACKHOLE BASKETBALL.

go root for another team if you wanna see blackhole basketball

jefferson is better at mentoring the young bigs and can help them more.

he has been playing better and more consistent than millsap.

millsap will never ever accept coming off the bench: he thinks he is an all-star. he is a good player but not more than a sixth man on a good or contending team.

i don't care about these 7 years. it's not about millsap, it's about what is best for the jazz!

millsap is still going to struggle against bigger, quicker and more athletics bigs.

you have to stay objective and see it as a business: don't let your decision be made by this seven years.

We still need a 3rd big in the rotation ... my vote is for Jefferson provided we can resign him for no more than $12 million/yr. Jefferson is doing a good job teaching Kanter those offensive moves.

we could get malone, olajuwan, ewing, bill russel for way less than 12 mil to teach kanter those move

He has been ball hogging more and more.
Jefferson will never ever accept coming off the bench: He thinks he is an all-star. He is a avg player but needs to be the vocal point on a mediocre team

Jefferson plays no defense.

fixed

Really nice to see Kanter going to the baby hook on the block. He's going to need it to set up his spin and up-and-under.

So you want him to develop an Al Jefferson like repertoire? :)

What I really want is for Kanter to be a mean mother ****er who goes right at defenders and eats the top of their heads with his elbows, the ball, and ocassionally his chest.

I'd rather he watch Shaq's footwork and learn to control defenders by making them ride on his hip while using long steps to set up powerful dunks, but that's probably a pipe dream for Mini-Shaq. Also, jump hop would look good on you Kanter (and even better on the floor). So would a lot of Boozer baseline and pick and pop.

Wow, Shaun Livingston is toast - has no game left whatsoever.

Shame - he looked like he was going to be a player until he blew out his knee.

every time i see shuan livingston i cringe. seeing his injury forever burned in my memory. wish i could delete it from my brain

wtf what due?
he took the most shots of al the bigs 14 points on 14 shots.
millsap 8 points on 7 shots
kanter 14 points on 8 shots
favors 19 points on 11 shots.
so the worse big when it comes to points.
he got 0 ft in 30 minutes
he plays no defense.

what due are you giving big al?
seriously what the **** did he do that the other bigs did not do better
he is the big with the most minutes the highest paid big. but did the least in his minutes
This is big Al we are talking about. The only thing on offense he didn't do well is get to the foul line! Newsflash!! It's Al he never gets to the line, but he shot 50%, and had 4 assists with 11 rebounds. Al passed well, was the main reason Foye was so good tonight and played within the team system perfectly. He also didn't hurt us on defense tonight, and for Al that's good. If Al had 30 on 15 shots you'd still harp on his ***!!
I'd rather like to see Millsap gone...
disagree Millsap doesn't have to take Favors and Kanters minutes, and can come off the bench, where as Al will always be the man as long as he's here taking away from Kanter and Favors progression.

Al is no longer the black hole he used to be, and if you would stop riding his *** like a little bitch you might see that!!!

look, i like millsap a lot, but his ego and his statements about not being ready to come off the bench pisses me off. he should accept an other role if it's the best for the jazz. he should stop complaining about this. jefferson seems to have a much better relationship to our young bigs and can help them more improving their offensive game going forward.

i like millsap a lot and appreciate what he has done for the jazz but at the end of the day i'd rather get a consistent guy that is not undersized and elite on the offensive end if both of them are going to demand similar money. that's just the way i see it.

You don't pay a guy 12 million because he is a good mentor. If you play Kanter and AL more minutes they will put up similar numbers for a lot less money. It is time to get rid of both AL and Millsap (unless he will go to the bench). The Jazz can bring in someone like Carl Landry to replace Millsap for a lot less money with similar productivity or they can draft another big as a 3rd big.

he still is everytime he gets the ball the ballmovement and player movement stagnates.
so what if his assist numbers are up.
the offense stagnates into alfense

Pipe dream. Not sure how bumping guys to create separation is the same as pump fakes and spins away from the basket. Kanter was too predictable, and was getting stripped and blocked as a result. Defenders could just sit back and either wait for the spin and trap him on the baseline or wait for the up-and-under and swat his ****. He needed a primary move to the middle; the spin and up-and-under work better as counters.

Also, nice to see Favors get opportunities to score facing the basket. He needs to continue to hit that free throw line/short corner jumper. Dude should be working with Millsap to improve his jab step. It's painful watching him try to score with his back to the basket (although it was an appropriate time to try it with the Jazz up big late tonight).

yet favors and kanter outplayed him in far less minutes.
and millsap equalled imho what he did(this is opinion you could argue that jefferson played better)

One takeaway watching this game is that Tristan Thompson struggled to guard Favors more than he struggled to guard Millsap.

Favors can get open looks whenever he wants. He just isn't fully confident yet, even with open looks.

Hence the smiley face.

Might be a pipe dream but Kanter has the speed and strenght to pull it off. Needless to say, he's still really young and relatively basketball dumb so he's going to surprise everyone for a long time with new weapon additions.

It's painful but I see things I like, A LOT. His baseline fade will be unstoppable if he ever perfects it. This shot is unguardable as it is and Favors' athleticism can take it to a new level. He's getting not great but pretty damn good looks elsewhere in the post as well but hasn't refined it enough to make the shots consistently. They're falling off the rim though and this has been really encouraging to me.

Kanter won't need a teacher as much as he'll need a team mate that knows how to play winning basketball.

Besides, who do you think will be easier to eventually bench anyway?
