What's new

Why I want the Jazz to lose tonight.

KOC is so successful that he's won how many playoff series in his 13 or so years here as GM? How many since Stock/Malone left and he needed to actually build ****?

since koc took over jazz are 28/44 in the playoffs 63% the yhave only not made the play offs 4 times but have a winning percentage. tahts not to bad. i think some teams wish there team had done this.

I want them to lose by 40+ again. Mostly because I have utterly given up on this team at this point and losing that bad would be funny.

Does anyone actually think this team would be worse without Al Jefferson?

Other than Corbin?

Ya, his name is Kevin O Conner. The most important guy in the matter. The man that 90% of Jazzfanz refuse to criticize. The elephant in the room. The man with the plan. The man who ****ing brought him here. Ya that guy wants him, and thinks he makes us better.

U hate KOC bro?

I don't hate him. I just dont like his style.

I've actually grown to not like him even more after coming here and hearing all the support for him. I think thats part of it.

I'm just tired of the same ol song and dance.

Oh come on gojazz79.

Come down off your high and mighty horse. Its just a game. This isn't like saying you would never cheat on your wife or backstab a friend. Its just basketball. If losing will help you win big later then there is nothing wrong with rooting for your team to lose in a certain situation. Just look at the Spurs. It paid off for them right?

So you can stop with the whole basketball is your moral compass crap.

That goes for everyone else. You aren't a better person because you won't ever root for your team to lose.
This! If you dont want the jazz to lose you are not a real fanw. Get a lives!!!! Letw march on this establishment od mdicoricy. We will not relent until we make a tradzzzzzz!

Nothing moral about it Hack. I will not root for them to lose. If you don't like that then that is too damn bad.

So take your opinion on that and sit and spin.

Agreed. I just can't do it either. I want to make the playoffs so I can see at least 4 more Jazz games, that is how much of a junkie I am for Jazz basketball.

Why? This is not basketball and we have players that are just awful too watch. Nothing good about the product on the floor.

I'll reserve my judgment until the off-season. I think Jefferson was worth a shot when KOC traded for him. Post-Stockton/Malone, KOC was quickly able to rebuild the team without Utah going through a decade of losing. KOC brought in Memo, Boozer and traded up to get Deron. That trio took us to the WCF. If AK could have manned up for a few years, Utah just MIGHT have made a run to a Finals appearance or two. Then we saw the model was seriously flawed and KOC again went into rebuilding mode, while at the same time trying to keep Deron. The BEST solution at the time was to try and get a big man to run the inside-outside game with Deron. AL was pretty much a 20-1o player, availabel because he had a down year after his injury and didn;t mesh well with Love. Worth the risk; it just didn't work out.

I'll be critical of KOC IF Al is re-signed. I'll be disappointed IF Al isn't traded, but I do understand KOC not wanting to handcuff future moves by taking back long-term contracts.

I'm very critical of Ty for not using Marvin Williams better. Marvin CAN be a key contributor. But you can't completely ignore him on offense. Yes, he's passive. But call a few plays for him; reward him for cutting without the ball. Instead, the Jazz just continue to throw it inside to Jefferson. If I were the SF, I'd stop moving on offense too. Why expend all that energy when the ball is NEVER going to be thrown to you, except out of desperation?

Mo - I agree with what you said. The smart thing to do is probably let Al walk, but that terrifies me because the Jazz might do something dumb like resign Al.

I LOVE Jazz basketball.

I cannot watch Al play. I usually tune in around the start of the second quarter, put the kids down for bed around the end of halftime and get back to the game mid-third.

I LOATHE Al and Corbin. And I feel bad because I don't know if both are the problem. I wouldn't be surprised if only one was, but neither will do anything to change.

I hate what Al/Corbin have turned Jazz basketball into.
