Following potential 2013 draftees

The criticisms of MCW are his low shooting percentages and low A:T ratio. He also looks a bit awkward to me, but maybe that's just me.

I think Burke is the more impressive player overall of the two. I would pick Burke to do better in a head-to-head match-up.

This isn't a serious comparison, but let me just throw it out there...

Wolters should look at Andre Miller film. Andre has never had blow-by speed, but has been crafty enough, developed a good first step, and has had a body that could deal with/finish with contact. Nate needs all of this stuff in spades if he wants to stick in the NBA.

I'm still hoping we can get two point guards in this draft (that is, if we take 3 players). We ****ing need them. If our FO likes the kid, I'd hope they'd try to turn two second-round picks into the pick that would snag him. Just thoughts...

I wonder how things are going to shape up. Right now I don't love any of our options.

I'd love for us to take a future PG with our 1st pick (Burke) and a stud SF who has great potential (Glen Robinson III).

If we can get those 2, they're both BPA and also fills our needs, I'd be happy.

I know this will get misconstrued, some by accidentally remembering what I am about to say .. others (UGLI) will intentionally misquote.

THIS WILL CHANGE.

However, as of last night.. WCS, Poythress, and Goodwin all told Cal they want to come back and play one more year.. with only Noel and Harrow leaving.

My opinion is that Goodwin is for sure gone (even though he said he wants to come back). He just has a ballers mentality and wants to go play the best .. and get paid.. whether he's ready or not.

My opinion is WCS is underestimating where he could go in the draft and once he gets evaluated, will re-evaluate his statements.

Poythress, being soft and scared, I could see coming back.

Noel is leaving for obvious reasons.

Harrow is leaving because he's scared of getting no playing time with Andrew Harrison coming in.

Have you guys got a stud center next year? If not I think WCS has the potential to go top 5 if he goes back and improves even by just 50%.

I remembered Davis being the 4th scoring option on the team and he still went #1.

Yes. He would be able to improve his stock. 5 would be high, but 7/8 not out of the question.

We're getting Dakari Johnson (#1 center in the class) and Marcus Lee (#4 PF, but can play C).. and I still think WCS would get 30 minutes per game on a LOADED team.

Whoah... you're telling me he'll have to fight Dakari Johnson for minutes? Wasn't that the situation before Noel went down?

On top of that he'd have to go up against Johnson in the draft as well?

You only go back to school if you're guaranteed a chance to shine. I don't know if he can do that with another star center in the team.

In that case I'd declare this year if I was him.

FWIW, I'm not sold on Johnson. Huge dude .. but I bet WCS is twice as good next year.

Well it's a big decision. If Cal assures me I'd be the starting center from day 1, then yes I'd come back.

Otherwise you're risking A LOT.

Cal will never guarantee a starting spot. He let's everyone know you'll get the playing time you earn. There's never any chemistry problems because the players know who is best and they see them getting the PT. Not much to bitch about at that point.
