Looking at their first two seasons' stats, I don't see as much difference between Bledsoe and Burks as I expected. Though obviously different types of players, their stats show some interesting similarities after two years (and Burks was approximately half a year younger at the end of those two years). Of course Bledsoe has the advantage of being known as a great defender. And now Bledsoe has the advantage of his year-3 jump, a jump we can only hope that Burks makes.

Even assuming that the Clips re-sign CP3, and even with their relative hole at SG, I don't expect that the Clips would be interested in a straight-up deal like this. If you answered yes, please comment on what you think the Jazz would need to add to make such a deal attractive to the Clips. Is there any possible deal that could work for the two teams, or does the basic Burks for Bledsoe idea just not fit with the two teams' needs?

I don't think Bledsoe is worth making a big move for. I don't think he's that outstanding a PG when it's said and done. He had a handful of good games when Chris Paul was out and made some big plays, but I haven't seen the consistent motor, consistent passing and consistent leadership that makes me want to go after him hard. Burks has just as much upside.

Voted no simply because I don't believe Bledsoe is a PG worth trading for. Bledsoe is a Westbrook type of PG that requires a star at SG or SF position to play off of them when they attract double teams to penetrate and then score, get fouled or kick the ball off to perimeter for three or dish to an opened big. That's what Burks is capable of doing right now as well anyway. Oh, and we don't have that Durant/Harden type of guy.
However, trade value wise it's pretty fair.

Burks is one of my favorite players, he really just needs more playing time and soon he will be a beast!

Bledsoe is not a player I want.

Being young, athletic and a combo guard capable of playing the position where our biggest need is (PG), won't solve our problems.

I'd rather see us make a run at Jarret Jack, draft Schroeder and develop him to take over the starting spot in a few years.

Bledsoe is not the real deal.

Burks has proven to be a decent backup PG if nothing else.

If we can get Schroeder, re-sign Tinsley and Burks can play 3rd PG as well as 6th man coming off the bench.

Any situation in which Tinsley is in the rotation ahead of Burks in unacceptable. I really have no idea why Jazz fans think bringing back Tinsley is a good idea. I don't want him back. Better options for 3rd PG can be had, let alone backup PG like you are suggesting.

I really wanted bledsoe badly during the season (though my love for burks would never allow me to approve of a bledsoe burks trade), but that was when i had to watch a whole bunch of tinsley, watson, and mo every game.
Now that the season is over and i am much less desparate for a point guard so bledsoe is not looking so good anymore.
We should be able to get someone through free agency or draft to satisfy me..... just so long as we are not playing mo, earl, and jamaal a bunch again next year i will be happy.

So, keep Burks and find a point guard another way.

Well what I like about Tinsley is he's always looking to make his teammates better, he only shoots when nothing else is one, and he doesn't whine if he doesn't get minutes.

If Burks is playing better then play Burks as 2nd PG, Tinsley at 3rd PG. Those positions are interchangeable.

What makes you so sure Mo won't be back? Unless we sign or trade for a pg, I'm 90% sure Mo will be back.

You actually think Corbin will play Burks over Tinsley at pg? You know who our coach is right? Also you must also be fine with Tinsley's defense. Interesting.

I would trade Burks for Bledsoe in a minute. Problem is the Clips don't do it and I wouldn't give much of anything more..

It's a tough call since we really haven't seen enough of Burks. What We did see is he played very well in combination with a ball-handling SG like Foye. But then Ty stopped playing that combo. It was the same thing that happened last year with the big lineup. It was very effective and then, inexplicably, Ty stopped using it. Burks can be a very good 6th man. I'm not sure if he can become a starter. Both are combo guards. I probably say no to the trade just because Burks is much, much cheaper for another couple of years. Bledsoe is going to get a huge raise from someone.

That's because he sucks at shooting. We don't want a point guard who can not shoot at least passably.

Bledsoe is overrated and over hyped. I'd rather turn Burks loose. We need a true PG, but Bledsoe isn't the answer. Rather have Calderon, frankly, despite his deficiencies.

Bledsoe is great defensively and in the open court, but he is no floor general nor a very good outside shooter. The playoffs showed his weaknesses. Would like to have him on my team but not as the starting PG.

I don't mind Tinsley as a 3rd PG. The problem is the Jazz have an idiot HC who would actually put damn near any 3rd PG ahead of Burks in the rotation for some bizarre reason. Maybe the Jazz could sign a 45 year old Rusty LaRue in the hopes that Corbin isn't dumb enough to play him in front of Burks.
