Ive started listening to the podcast when I workout. Gives me a nice daily dose of Jazz bball talk. Ive actually missed Locke on the radio. His passion about the Jazz is fun to listen to even though he thinks he God's gift to basketball anaylsis.

Also interested in who actually does the chat room live each morning? I never would have time for that but interesting that there are a bunch of people that do.

It is at a difficult time so I never watch/listen live.

I always catch his links and talking points on twitter. If a topic catches my eye I listen to it latter.

I find all of the sidebar talk makes it hard to listen to. He talks about Google+, or his web cam or his ISP or whatever techy crap too much for me.

I haven't listened to much spots talk radio for at least the last year. I like Locke on the radio shows he's on but I hate his play-by-play.

This beginning part where he says some talking point and then does some stupid drum riff with his mouth is pretty annoying.

Every once in a while, Locke has some interesting insights. Such positive reinforcement has made me a loyal patron to tip off

I listen to it most days. Usually listen to the podcast right after work.

About half of it is just rambling, but I usually get some sort of new info/perspective with every show.

For as annoying as the guy gets, no one in the league puts in more effort than Locke. We're lucky you have him.

I don't think Locke is a shill or a tool. I believe he gives his honest opinion on the Jazz.

Also, I honestly think David Locke frequents Jazzfanz on occasion to get an idea of what fanz are thinking or talking about.

I'm there on the chat quite a lot since the timing is better for me (post lunch time). Chat is pretty meh most of the time. But sometimes there's a bit of interaction. Either way I type stuff for him to read afterwards.

I'm surprised he can do this year round. Even if you don't like him, you have to appreciate his work ethic.

I download Tipoff podcast from Itunes on my Iphone and listen when I go running or at my convenience. I agree with posters who say we are lucky to have Locke in this market. The guy really puts in the time and effort to engage fans, and I enjoy listening to him. Count me as a Locke fan. Sometimes he annoys me, but can't recall that I ever agree 100% with anyone, nor is this important to me. I don't mind some alternative view points to my own.

I'll think about listening to him now that he doesn't have to obviously shovel the company line into people's skulls.

I like Locke's dedication and approach, generally. He asks some of the right questions some of the time. Trouble is, his analysis is really spotty, to the point that I get angry and have to turn it off just about every time I listen. It's unfortunate.

Ironically enough, on today's tipoff he said that these types of comments piss the **** out of him.

Oh I'm sure they do. I think he actually believes he's calling everything straight but I think he's too nice/loyal to do that. He seems like a cool enough guy to me and it takes some level of being a dick to just call out people that you like and are maybe even friends with, notwithstanding the whole employee angle. He just really went out on a limb with some of his comments and opinions that didn't seem intellectually honest and it even began to take on a spiteful angle for him (whether conscious or not) IMO.

The cool thing is that he's most likely not getting paid extra to do this. Even though its only 20 min long he wakes up early everyday to do it. During the season and offseason.

He is going the extra mile to connect with the fans and his passion about the Jazz is contagious.
