What's new

Following potential 2013 draftees

- No way Olynyk slips that far
- The Jazz will be lucky, very lucky, to get Giannis at #21
- Seriously doubt Steven Adams drops that far
- Glen Rice Jr. should go first round
- Seriously doubt that Karasev goes that high
- Bennett is a risky pick for Sacto after they moved Thomas Robinson, but I guess it could happen

- I drafted in terms of team needs and best player available that fills those needs, so Olynyk fell pretty low because of that.
- Nah, I can see him falling to us fairly easily.
- See Olynyk.
- Perhaps.
- Karasev is a great pick for what they need, considering his size for a SG/SF and his 49% 3-point shooting.
- Bennett plays the SF as well as PF so it wouldn't be too unrealistic of a pick.

But yeh, It'll change of course come closer to the draft. I'm definitely gonna win PKM's contest, I already know.

i dont like UNC at-all, my friends who are UNC fans are some of the biggest ******** that id call friends. that being said, Reggie Bullock is clearly a sleeper, his defense isnt much worse than oladipo's

if Saric is on the board i take him @21 before reggie

what do you guys think of Bullock vs Saric and the greek giant?
I like Saric, however on hoopshype.com there was a rumor saying if he doesn't get a lottery promise he would pull his name out of the draft.
The last NBA Draft Net has the Jazz picking 3 SG's.

For some reason I just can't take them seriously.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Tim Hardaway Jr.
Reggie Bullock

Hoopshype has us picking a SG and Center with Ricky still on the board after both picks.

I just have no trust in these things.
Not a mock just player ranking.

Is Tyreke unrestricted?

Restricted but not extended which coming from a team that has no substantial salary committed down the road or currently says a lot. Both about what might just be in regards to Tyreke (not that good), his own perceived value (too high), and the general level of obtainability in free agency.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't find him a little interesting considering how desperately the Jazz need a guard that can hit shots off the dribble and facilitate. Whether he's a true PG or SG isn't really the question, though. A bit of a guilty pleasure and I definitely had a change of heart. And for the record, yes, I was high.

Post condom sex.

So I just did a quick look over some statistics with Tyreke. I was pretty surprised to see that his eFG%, TS%, 3FG% (and shooting more threes than he ever has) and PPP were all career highs last year and his PER was almost identical as his rookie season (which as far as most people were concerned, was his best year and he rated his best by that metric). It seems a lot of this can be owed to him shooting less often than he has before.

In general, his assist numbers have decreased since his rookie season which I'm sure has more to do with role than anything (which it's hard to find fault there).

Maybe I'll have to make a thread about this later and feel really weird about it.

I'd take Tyreke. It would be an interesting experiment. Plus, we wouldn't have to put up with those 4 games per year where he utterly destroys the Jazz.

Plus, he is still only 23 years old. I think he improved this past year in scaling back his shot totals and what not. He would automatically become our best transition finisher and rim attacker. Maybe not being on the Kings would actually make him a better player.

Plus, with Jefferson on the team we are going to need a new scapegoat when everything goes south. Yes, we still have Corbin, but we need a player we can hate unconditionally and blame for all our faults.

What would he cost? I would do 10mil/per year for 3 or 4 years.

I think that Sacramento is such a mess that I wouldn't trust anything that's happened there. They've got changing coaches, cheap owners who want to sell, DMC, Jimmer, losing season after losing season, etc. Tyreke is ball dominant and coasts when his number isn't called. I just wonder if he can fit into a system, or if he's like a rich man's Magette.

He destroyed DWill when he was a rookie.

damn again CT get out of my fn head

Tyreke has lots of upside and I don't see why he wouldn't be able to improve his game. Sloan would put him in a system and make him do wonders but I doubt Corbin can. We can try him as the young guys are developing. I wouldn't say no to 10-12 mil for 2 years.

my new strategy for the draft and what the jazz should do

1- if the jazz miss, at 14, Burke, McCollum or schröder draft BPA of olynyk, plumlee, Gobert, kcp, Goodwin or karasev

2- trade 21 to okc for 29 and 32. draft wolters and Carmichael

3- with the 46th pick either Ledo , Adonis Thomas, pressey

just for fun lets say 14 we pick karasev and keep him in Europe 1 year

FA, wolters, pressey
Hayward, burks
williams, Carroll
kanter, Carmichael, Evans
favors, tomic

pressey and Carmichael are both second rounds no guarantee for them. make them earn their spots.
