Shane Larkin PG

Can he guard anyone that's good (shouldn't be hard to overpower or be shot right over)? Can he be hidden on D (if he can't guard the smallest guy on the floor that can shoot right over the top or overpower him, it's hard to imagine having him guard bigger and stronger players even if less skilled)?

I guess I shouldn't be expecting much, but I try to have certain standards. He had better have blazing lateral quickness and know how to use what he has or I'd be rather concerned that it would be hard for him to be much more than a career backup (which the Jazz need, but still...).

I don't see why any of that matters so much. Tony Parker isn't and wasn't considered a shut down defender. There are other things that can make a player really good. I wouldn't write him off so quickly.

Haven't we been through this before with Hayward?

Just wondering. Is there that big of a difference between Larkin and Burke. I've only seen highlights of Larkin so I could be way off.

Larkin is only an inch shorter, seems to be a better athlete and finisher, and think of him as quicker. So I'm trying to figure out if Larkin is a bottom of the draft guy like I believe him to be why is Burke considered a top 5 prospect?

Maybe it's passing and leadership qualities, but those are hard to scout in highlight vids.

I guess I'm looking for clarification on this.

Burke is a lot better, there's the difference.

So basically out of Kabongo and Larkin, whoever we don't draft at #21 will somehow fall and become the next Tony Parker.

Here is what Bleacher report had to say about Larkins performance at the combine:Shane Larkin tested as the best athlete at the combine, at one point getting off the ground for a 44" max vertical leap. It was the second-highest anyone has ever jumped at the event.

There's currently a cloud of electric buzz over Larkin's head. He's gaining steam at just the right time.

The NBA guys love athletes, and considering Larkin's dominance at the combine, they might be able to overlook the fact he measured just 5'11.5".

Utah needs an athlete in its backcourt more than ever. Waiting til No. 21 overall might be too late at this point.

Is there a reason you're following me?

If you're trying to soak up my superior knowledge, I'm afraid to say that it just doesn't work like that.

I think your knowledge is pretty weak, actually.

What I'm trying to understand is this:
why do you think your **** don't stink?

When you come back with anything of substance to say my **** don't stink, then I might consider listening to you. Until then, keep on breathing in my roses, bitch.

the substance of my post was pretty clear:
your **** stinks and you spread/spam it around with the worst of them.

Nice. I'm liking him more and more now. Second highest vert? Not bad.

I think he is going to be good.

I HATE that thread. It's too freaking long. I don't want to sift through 100 pages to see a highlight reel like the one above.

During the season, I say use the Draft Thread. Now that the draft is getting closer, I am 100% behind a NEW thread for every freaking player in the draft.

If you don't like the thread, don't click on it and don't respond and it will die.

I agree 100%
