Following potential 2013 draftees

AlecBurks_PgGod has opened my eyes re Bazz in the other thrad.......

Bazz's physical tools seems to be very close to Harden. Even his 3 pt shooting seems pretty legit as well - that can really help our team. Bazz's lack of passing is less of an issue with Hayward at the SF and Schroeder doing the bulk of ball handling. Bazz will just be doing catch & shoot, catch & attack the basket, and getting to FT line. Those are all the skills he thrived at in College so I'm pretty comfortable he could do that effectively in the NBA.

Strategy:

- Trade up to get #13 from Dallas & Pick Bazz at #13

- Pick Schroeder at #14

- Re-sign Millsap, start next to Favors. He'll provide fight & vet. leadership this team needs. I think he complements well with Favors both defensively & offensively.

- Kanter 3rd big co-anchor 2nd unit with Burks as primary ball handler.

Lineup:

Schroeder - Burks
Bazz
Hayward
Millsap
Favors - Kanter

- Play these guys heavy minutes and let the chips fall where they may for '14/15 draft.

I don't want Millsap back unless he accepts a Bass type role and Bass type money.

It's time to turn the team over to new blood and Millsap might create issues with that.

Can we stop speaking of scenarios where we get bazz at 13 or 14? We would need to acquire 13 an trade 14 and 21 with it to get in range of bazz. I like him, but he Has never, ever,Been a facilitator. I've watched him for many years and he played with multiple top 100 players yet never got his teammates involved. This is the reason some scouts are down on him. Point is that he is a gifted scorer, but i personally would not give up 3 picks for him because of his tunnelvision. Players like him become specialists and are bound for role player status.

Rice is certainly interesting to me. We could create the all headcase team with Schroeder and Rice together.

Obviously I am being sarcastic. It's funny to me how people see a times when a person is being a "headcase" or "brat" and suddenly they are stuck with that label for way too ling. I'm sure we can all think back to moments when we have done stupid things. That doesn't mean that is who we are.

For instance, when I was about 9 I was playing Jr Jazz and my Dad was yelling at me to do certain things throughout the game. I finally got fed up with it and while bringing the ball down court I completely stopped going down the court, looked at my Dad and at the top of my lungs screamed "Shut up!". At the next deadball whistle my coach took me out of the game (he was my best friends dad and we were neighbors) and I didn't get back into the game.

Afterwards I apologized to my Dad and I promised myself that I wouldn't act that way anymore. I don't consider myself a "headcase" (no, you are not allowed to ask anyone close to me of they disagree) but that was certainly a bonehead move and I am still embarrassed by it.

I know that this has been a little long winded. I'm just slightly bored and thought that I'd share. What is really important is my new sig:

I was with you until you said bring back millslap and I tuned out the rest. I like bazz only if he falls. his passing is a huge concern but the jazz have not had a player with his scoring ability in a long long time.

im not sure Glen Rice will be better than James Southerland in the NBA but he did have a hell of a year in the D-League

Sounds like the 2nd coming of Big Al.

At first I was like, wtf?

Then I saw it was wearing UK and I was like, hell yeah!!

Then I saw you still don't know how to post a pic and I was like, wtf?

Usually agree with Hotttnickkk, but I'm against bringing back Millsap. He'll demand a raise and he's simply not a top-3 starter on a contending team. He's not the same player he was 3-4 years ago. While he's improved his shooting, he doesn't have the same fight he used to. We need another "big" to backup Favors and Kanter, not an undersized PF. I'm also against bringing back Tinsley or Foye. Jamaal has nothing left. I'd rather see the Jazz give the backup PG minutes to someone that may be with the team beyond next season - and a player that has a reasonable chance of making a basket. AS for Foye, all he does is chuck. Again, the Jazz need to be forward-thinking, not try to grab the 8th seed by putting together a patchwork team of has-beens.

walterfootball.com has the jazz taking

MCW @14
Mason Plumlee@21

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONPdhlomI8g in the 2nd

they also have Ricky Ledo in the 1st round@30 to the Suns. Larkin and Snell in the 2nd round

If Muscala was to drop to our 2nd round pick, I would be ecstatic. He would be a fantastic off the bench big. I'm a big fan of his.

All of this is painfully obvious. Yet, I'm still scared that the only ones who can't see it are the ones getting payed to make the decisions. How sad is that?

I agree. Although if he would accept a 6th man role I'd welcome him back with open arms.
He's kidding himself if he thinks he can be a core starting player of a contending team.
