Following potential 2013 draftees

I was just wondering if you'd forgotten your daily "Draft Larkin" chant... there it is!!!
Kinda like your daily Schroeder chant, however I will give you credit for backing off him a little bit.
Could we trade Burks with the 21st, and a 2015 1st for Otto?

Slide Hay into the 2, and have Schroeder, Hay, Otto, Favors, Kanter starting 5.
we'd have to trade for the third pick, and the other team would want 14.

Just thinking about this draft and how uninterested I am in it. Even when we picked at the end of the first all those years ago I was more interested. I look at the players in our range and I just cant help but think I would not be mad if we selected any of them except Larkin. I likewise would not get amped about anyone we selected. I guess I just dont care which is a bizzare feeling for me. Just thought I would vent to all my bessstiies!

Edit- Would get amped if Bazz or Cj fell to us.

Its normal. I'm not excited about the picks either. Mostly because I know we won't see them for years. If we won't play #3 picks, then why would we play #14, and #21? This off season will be about getting more vets so we can watch them stink it up again. Its always been about that in Utah, always will be.

So Tony Mitchell worked out for Portland (also Chicago). That makes me think Portland may be the team (or one of the teams) that Utah has a trade-up deal with. I'm assuming the deal would be #10 for 14 + 21. The #10 pick might get us Burke, McCollum, Zeller or Adams. At least two of these players would be there at 10.

Consensus Top 6 players are: McLemore, Oladipo, Noel, Porter, Bennett, Len.

Next 6: Shabazz, Burke, McCollum, Zeller, Adams, Carter-Williams. Three of these guys would be there at #10.

I see what you're saying, but I think that's a bit overly speculative.

Btw, of those four, I would be thrilled with any.. with Adams the least so, by quite a bit.

Don't forget that the Blazers have stuck it to the Jazz atleast twice in the past 5 years and the Jazz managment/owners kind of hold on to stuff like that. If they Do make a deal with Portland then we will all know that Dennis Lindsey is fully at the helm and the ship is his.

Yes, this is speculation, but Portland normally wouldn't workout a guy projected in the 20 - 25 range if they didn't think they might be picking there. There doesn't seem to be a player that stands out for Portland at 10, unless someone major slips. If I were Portland, I would seriously consider swapping 10 for 14 and 21. It's a good deal for them. They will probably think they're 'sticking it' to Utah when they offer a deal to Paul Millsap in free agency.

I could see a trade like that happening if, say, Porty picks CJ with their pick, then agrees to trade CJ for 14 and 21 provided KCP is picked by Utah at 14.

Not a big fan of moving up in this draft. Again everyone knows that Portland wants to trade down so we shouldn't be helping them out. There are many roster spots on the Jazz that need to be filled. If none of the PGs that the Jazz really want (CJ, MCW) are there then take a big guy (Gobert/Adams/Zeller) and get a shooter with the 21st pick (Bullock, Rice Jr., Franklin, Crabbe).

If the Jazz are going to trade both picks to the Blazers for the 10th then Utah needs to get the highest of their second round picks.

It's funny how the tides have changed. So some want McCollum over Burke now?

I still would take Trey over any other guard in this draft.
