What's new

Oui Oui Gobert!

All we need to do is make him work with Malone on strength and conditioning, with Stockton on passing, with Hornacek on shooting and we have a future hall of famer.

Saying that I like the pick a lot.

Wait, did we trade him to Phoenix already?

I would have preferred Goodwin, but Gobert is a good value at #27. Scoring over him or around him is going to be difficult. His standing reach is just 3 inches shy of the rim.

Isn't his standing reach 9'7?

I'm just givin ya **** man, I make that mistake all the time. Still, 5 inches shy of the rim is pretty freaking great.

I sincerely wish Locke didn't like him or say dumb **** like this.
Wasn't he quoting a scout?

Can't he do it as a hobby? Like Malone.
seems like a conflict of interest lol.

a lineup of him and Favors could be a damn good defensive team. A nice change from Al and Millsap.

damn he could probably get a block a game, with out jumping.

I know lots of people here don't care for Locke. I have had some criticisms as well. But it sounds like Locke was given a great deal of insight into the Jazz draft process and preferences. And to his credit he kept it mostly hidden. I think that he is a little over eager sometimes, but I also think the Jazz used that to their advantage and used him to spread some of their misdirection.

To those who say he is a tool I say: He may be a tool, but at least he is a useful tool.

I love this pickup. Reminds me of a young Hibbert. Am actually very surprised he dropped to 27 considering the impact Hibbert had in the playoffs.

Lindsey said in the interview that Hibbert is a reason we took Gobert. He said that refs are trending towards calling fouls in the paint better, so big men who stand straight up in the air aren't getting as many fouls as they did in the past. This makes players like Gobert, who are freakishly long, really good players to have if they are smart. If his reported work ethic is true, he should at least be a legit backup big man, like our version of Asik.

Haha that's probably why he was so high on Wolters, Olynk, and MCW.

Doesn't explain why he was high on Gobert. That's like a double smoke screen.

I really enjoy Locke.

Guys, I have a question nobody else thought of. Will he be coming over this coming season?
