It seems strangely quiet on the Paul Millsap front. I thought several teams would be interested in him.

If you think about it has been pretty quiet for all of the Jazz's free agents so far, so perhaps the rest of the NBA noticed how our young players outplayed them all year long.

I've been thinking the same thing. My guess would be that the same teams that are hunting Howard (who have cap space) are also Millsap's suitors as well.
Same thing for Jeffery.

C'mon
You guys act like you are new to this. Its the same thing every year. We have to wait for the dominos to fall. Dwight Howard goes first.
True. I just thought that Millsap would have more bites. I guess he's overpriced. Don't tell GVC that.
So I have been told by a buddy who works with Greg Miller (works for the GM dealership) that Millsap is there #1 target. Barf...
I know most of the Mansap love on this board evaporated over the last couple of years, but I think he'd be a solid signing. He knows the system, can play within the system, and when he's not playing injured can (not will, but can) take over a game. Anyone remember that triple overtime game against the Heat? I do. And I just don't see Favors AND Kanter being bankable this year. Kanter, frankly, showed almost as many signs of being a permanent bench player as he did a star. How many times did that guy blocked by smaller players last year? And Favors working with Malone should help him develop a couple more moves (assuming he can understand Karl when Karl speak). But he's still "in progress". The two I see upping their games this season are Burkes and Hayward. Plus, you NEED at least a 3 man rotation at the 4 and 5. That's a lot of beating those guys take during a game. Rudy won't be ready for more than a few minutes a game, and with Sap you can play Favors or Kanter at the 5 or switcheroo to take advantage of mismatches. I'd be happy to see a scorer like Mayo, but the more I think about it the more I think I'd rather wrap up Sap and wait for the trade deadline when we should still have money to negotiate a draft pick for Marvin (who can also play the 4 but who won't be there to start the season).
fixedFrom my woefully limited perspective, with zero insider info about any FA negotiations, I'm gonna claim that Millsap is getting a hard slap in the face of reality.
